The Serene’s Birthday quest in Genshin Impact is where we work with the three Melusines to surprise Serene. But this is a hidden quest that doesn’t trigger nor notifies you unless you come and check back on her again. There are also no pointers, so you really have to pay attention to the dialogues!
We’ll show you how you can trigger the hidden world quest and help the friends make the birthday special!
Serene’s Birthday Guide
The pre-requisites to unlocking the quest is to finish three quests with the three Melusines: Book of Esoteric Revelations, Echoes of the Ancient World, and Strange Stone Chronicle (both parts). These World Quests appear after Serene told you that you can help around the village in exchange for spare parts.
Once you do, head over to Serene’s to trigger the hidden quest. She will thank you for helping out with her friends and give you more of the components. She’ll also ask you to find Xana for anything you might be interested in exchanging the components for.
After talking to Serene, you can now find Xana near her stall just across of Serene. You can exchange some materials with her from the components you get from helping Melusines around the village.
Once you do, there should be three Melusines near the cooking pot where Verenata usually is. If you can’t find them, relog the game. And make sure that you’ve also finished the second part of Strange Stone Chronicles, which has to be triggered back at Court of Fontaine.
And then approach the Melusines Puca, Verenata, and Canotila here to trigger another dialogue. They’ll avoid telling you what they’re up to gathering around the campfire. But you know what’s going on. Talk to each Melusine separately.
Each of them will ask for an ingredient from: Verenata needs a bacon, Canotila needs an egg, and Puca needs flour.
At the end of the quest, you’ll get the recipe for Poissonchant Pie that the Melusines cooked for Serene. And you’ve finished Genshin Impact’s hidden quest Serene’s Birthday.
