We all know how Baldur’s Gate 3 shook the gaming landscape as it released but we forget that this game has Early Access years before. The game was already great by then, but as it was early access there are a lot of things that changed. One item that has changed is the Helmet of Grit, which in Early Access was possible to get in Act 1. They’ve now moved it further into the game.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the Helmet of Grit in the game. You’ll also get a nice scroll of Flesh to Stone with it! Now, let’s see where to find this item in the game.
Helmet of Grit Location & Scroll of Flesh to Stone
To find the Helmet of Grit and the Scroll of Flesh To Stone, you’ll first need to go inside Szarr’s Palace. This place can be found in Baldur’s Gate, the city and the game.
Once you’re inside, you’ll want to go to the southern room shown on the map below. Be careful though since there’s hazards in there!
When you open the room, you’ll quickly notice a dark miasma around the entrance. That’s because there’s a constant Drain Vitality spell on effect here.
Make sure to go in and out of this room quickly. Luckily for you, the item we want is nearby the entrance. Next to the door is a chest, open the chest and get the Helmet of Grit and Flesh to Stone from it. Do it quickly though!
The Helmet of Grit is a strong item since if the wearer has 50% hit points or less, they get an additional Bonus Action.
This is great for characters that have off-hand weapons or want to cast more bonus action spells. Rogues with the Thief Archetype can be amazing with this helmet, since they’ll have a total of 3 bonus actions!
The Flesh to Stone Scroll is just a great bonus as well, since you’ll get one of the few Level 6 spell scrolls in the game. Have your wizard learn it as it’s a great way to lock down enemies.
That’s where you can find the Helmet of Grit and Scroll of Flesh to Stone in Baldur’s Gate 3. Now go out there and try to get it yourself! Make sure to go check out our guide on the best Illithid Powers to get if you haven’t already!
