Blasphemous 2: A Sharp Rendezvous Trophy Guide

Feels like speed running the game!

Blasphemous 2 is a recently released side-scrolling game that allows players to explore the nightmare world of Cvstodia. The art style of the game is impressive and pays homage to the 90s art style, making us feel nostalgic.

The game is relatively short, meaning that there are trophies that will require you to be quick. One of these is the Sharp Rendezvous trophy, which requires players to get to the Afilaor boss fight in under 30 minutes after starting a new game. This guide will give you an overview of what should be done to get this trophy by focusing on the optimal route.

How to Get Sharp Rendezvous Trophy

Start a New Game

The first step to start obtaining this trophy will require you to start a new game. Simply head to the game’s menu and create a new game in a brand-new save file. Head to the right of the screen to emerge into the next area.

Here, you will have to select which weapon you will be starting with. The choice here hardly matters since all the weapons can be obtained in other locations in the game.

After choosing your weapon, head to the right side of the screen and interact with the prompt to start the game.

City of the Blessed Name

From this point, you will be spawned in the Repose of the Silent One which is sort of a tutorial for the game. We are assuming that you are already familiar with the basics so simply keep going to the right while following the cues on the screen.

Eventually, you will reach your first boss fight of the game against the Faceless One, Chisel of Oblivion. Defeating this boss is easy since he will tend to throw his spinning wheel at you.

Your goal here is to attack the boss when he is stunned. The boss is stunned after he throws his wheel. Skip the cutscenes after you defeat the boss and head right.

You will reach the Ravine of High Stones where an NPC will explain your goal. Skip through the conversation and start heading right. Eventually, you should reach the City of the Blessed Name.

Mini-Boss

Head through the city and keep going right. You will enter a castle of sorts, and this will be followed by a short cutscene playing.

After this, cutscene plays keep heading down in the chasm that is the Profundo Lamento area. Eventually, you will reach the mini-boss fight, which isn’t that difficult.

After you defeat the mini-boss, head to the right, and an NPC wearing a green cloak will arrive. There will be a short interaction, after which the NPC will provide you with the Steely Battle Lance. This is a good weapon to use if you prefer to use lances.

After the NPC interaction, head towards the right and interact with the statue. This will allow you to use the Ivy of Ascension ability. This ability allows you to climb on surfaces without slipping, as shown in the image below.

Mirabras of the Return to Port

The next step is to obtain the Mirabras of the Return to Port. This is a special ability that allows you to teleport to the City of the Blessed Name.

For this, start heading back up using the new Ivy Ascension ability. While climbing up, you will discover many intersections. In these situations, always take the left turn.

Eventually, you will cross an Elevator that will allow you to access a higher area. Head past it, and to the right, you be on a ledge with a flame on it. Interact with the flame to obtain this ability and equip it as your active chant. After equipping it, use the ability to teleport back to the city.

Veredicto

At this point, you can choose to go directly to the boss’s location or get alternate weapons if you are not happy with your current one.

This weapon is located in the Sacred Entombments. You should check out the guide on all the Weapon Locations.

Sarmiento & Centella

This weapon is located in the Palace of Embrioderies, which can be accessed through the Grilles and Ruin.

Although it is optional to get this weapon, you should go for it if you are not satisfied with your current weapon and are looking for more versatility. Once again, check out the guide linked above on how to get this weapon.

Afilaor Location

To head to Afilaor, you will need to go back to the castle in the City of the Blessed Light. Follow the path that you took to the mini-boss by heading through Profundo Lamento.

However, when you reach the unstable platforms, do not go down. Head towards the right instead so that you can enter a new area.

There will be another mini-boss shortly ahead, but ignore him and instead ring the bell to open the exit and continue heading down.

This will open up into the Mother of Mothers area. After entering this area, head down the staircase and take the right exit.

Make sure that you are aware of these Hanging Furnaces, as they can easily deplete a good chunk of your health.

Keep heading to the right, and then take the ladder down and start heading to the left. Take the ladder down and head to the right until you see the bell. After ringing the bell, head to the left through the open door.

After going through this door, head four screens to the left. You will reach a ladder that will allow you to drop down into a new area. After going to the left you will soon see a statue.

Interact with this statue to open the exit that is down to the right. In the new area, ring the bell so that you can activate another statue that can allow you to take the platform.

Eventually, you will reach the next area, and here, use your jump attack to pound into the ground and break the weak floors beneath your character. This will allow you to enter Beneath her Sacred Grounds area.

Keep heading down in this area, and you will eventually spot the green cloak NPC once again. Simply talk to the NPC and skip through the dialogue to see if you were successful in reaching the location of the boss.

Tips

You should know that pausing the game by opening the map does not stop the timer for this trophy. Hence, it is recommended for you to play through the game at least once before attempting to get this trophy.

Additionally, it is highly unlikely that you get this trophy on your first try, so do not be discouraged. Use the first attempt to get used to the layout and the path that you need to take.

We hope that this guide was helpful to you. Let us know in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions for future content.
