In Wayfinder, players can become Wayfinders and can choose their path, as well as their playstyle. You’ll be fighting entities that have taken over the world. The game features co-op play as well, meaning that you can team up with your friends to tackle powerful enemies and bosses.

Many new players are unaware of where to find Halcyon Orbs in the game. This guide will focus on a method that will help you locate these orbs easily. In turn, you can then utilize this method to farm these orbs.

Where & How To Find Halcyon Orbs

Where to Find Orbs

From our testing, we have found out that you can only get the Halcyon Orbs in the Codex Expedition.

These orbs are quite an important material in the game since they are used to craft items such as Spirits and weapons such as the Tempest. Moreover, the description of the orbs is quite vague in the sense that it doesn’t really provide much information on how to obtain these orbs.

How to Start Expedition

To start the expedition, head over to the Gloom Gate and select the Codex Halls. Since this is the first dungeon that players can attempt, the power requirements are quite low. Even at Sphere 4, the recommended power is only 655.

Additionally, we recommend that you turn off Matchmaking and attempt this dungeon solo. The reason for this is that even in co-op settings, only one player can receive the Halcyon Orb.

This makes the dungeon very competitive, as players will be trying to speedrun in order to get the orb. This is a weird mechanic for an MMORPG, but in our view, it helps to make this resource even rarer and difficult to get.

More Information About Expeditions

There is one thing to remember before you start grinding the Codex Halls. Since the event is random, it is highly probable that you won’t be able to see the orbs during one of your expeditions.

This does make it slightly frustrating since you will have to grind multiple times to get the required orbs. The image below shows the orbs, indicating that this is the Halcyon Orb event.

Halcyon orb event

To start the event, head to the bottom level of the dungeon. There will be enemies all over, so make sure that you defeat them before starting the event. This will make sure that there are no distractions. After clearing out all the enemies, interact with the orb shown in the image below to start the event.

Starting event

Interacting with the orb will result in a beacon of light appearing from it. You will also receive a new objective which will be to align the Halcyon Orbs. This will help you open the path to the room in front of the activation device.

After climbing up, you should reach the floor where these panels are on the floor as shown in the image above. Stepping on a panel will result in one orb rotating.

Your goal here is to get the orb into the position that is highlighted with a diamond around it. This is visible in the image above. You do not have to get the orb into the exact position, but it should be near it.

Chest containing orb

Once the puzzle has been completed, you can head back to the bottom level and how the path will be open. Inside will be a chest that you can open to receive your Halcyon Orb.

There are two variants of this orb event. In one, you have to align three orbs, and in the other, you have to align four orbs. The panel for the fourth orb can be found across from the other panels, as shown in the image below.

Fourth orb panel

To get to this panel, simply go around to the other side on the same level. Standing on the panel will cause the orb to rotate, and all you have to do is to get it in the specified position.

Despite the variant of the event, the number of orbs you can get always remains the same. You can only get one orb per event, so keep that in mind.
