Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest installment in the long-running, renowned fighting game franchise created by NetherRealm Studios. Its story features a full reboot of the series’ universe, with a lot of guests and returning characters from past games.
Even though it’s a reboot, it is still essentially a continuation of Mortal Kombat 11. With all that said, exactly how long will it take for the average player to beat the story mode?
How Long is the Story of the Game?
The average individual playing on the normal difficulty setting will likely take around five to six hours to finish the action-packed campaign. Though it’s worth noting that this figure can vary wildly depending on the player’s skill level and chosen difficulty level.
More skilled players will be able to finish the game in a slightly shorter time, though it will still take a while due to the game’s many cutscenes.
Meanwhile, those who are new to the fighting game genre may take a few hours longer due to being unfamiliar with the mechanics, even while playing on easier settings.
With all that in mind, aside from its rich narrative, Mortal Kombat is a franchise known for having multiple game modes, most notably the competitive multiplayer PVP experience.
