In Genshin Impact Update 4.1, you’ll come across a quest called “Fontaine Research Institute, Stagnating in the Rubble.” In this questline, there will be an objective where you’ll have to “Go in the ruins of the Fontaine Research Institute.” If you’re having a hard time finding the location, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, I’ll show you can go to the objective.

Go to the Ruins of Fontaine Research Institute
Now, if you turn on Navigate. You’ll see that the location is a bit of a climb. No worries! Follow these directions and instructions, and you’ll get there in no time!
First, teleport to the Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region waypoint. From here, head south. Then, you’ll see a bridge connected to a Hydro cube. You’ll have to get there.
In order to do that, first go to this location. Then, from here, airdash and glide until you reach the bridge. Once you’re in the bridge, make your way to the waypoint.
From here, there will be a short cutscene between you, Paimon, Chronie and Nacker. Afterwards, you’ll get a new waypoint/objective.
Enter the 1st Hydro cube and move your way up to the surface. Then, look for a bubble. Pop it and it will open a ring. Interact with it to Enter and move to the 2nd Hydro cube.
Again, make your way to the surface and you’ll see a bubble next to a Blue Slime. Pop the bubble until you spawn another ring. Of course, interact with the ring to proceed.
This will move you the 3rd Hydro cube. Look for the ring and Enter it to proceed. Afterward, you’ll get transported to the 4th Hydro Cube. Again, make your way to the surface.
However, unlike the previous ones, there will no bubble in here. You’ll need to jump and glide across the 5th Hydro cube. From there, you’ll have to go up to the surface and look for the bubble located in a big rock.
The next bubble will spawn on top of a pillar. Climb up and pop it to proceed. It will then spawn another ring, which you’ll have to Enter.
This will move you to a series of broken bridges, as well as a bubble you can see from the distance.
Simply follow the trail of bubbles, until you spawn yet another ring. Of course, Enter the ring and you’ll get transported to a small floating island.
From here, there will be the last bubble which you’ll need to pop to spawn the last ring for this location. Enter the ring, and you’ll go to the Ruins of Fontaine Research Institute.
