Now that the Chasm has opened up, it is time for us to find some history underneath the ground. One of the quests you will encounter in Genshin Impact will ask you to take 5 Fossil photos.
This guide will show you where you can take all 5 Fossil Photos in the Chasm.
5 Fossil Photo Locations – Genshin Impact
To start the quest, you need to go to the teleport waypoint near the Glowing Narrows and talk to the NPC called Khedive. Talk to him about the rock you found and you will start the quest called “A Cliff-Side Hero’s Past”.
You will need to take a photo of 5 strange rocks and you can find all their location below.
⦿ FOSSIL #1
Head to the teleport waypoint to the right of the Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel and glide down to the south as seen in the marker on the map.
You will see the fossil is on the wall, next to a wooden crate at the lowest level of the Chasm.
⦿ FOSSIL #2
Use the teleport waypoint in The Chasm Main Mining Area and head north to the marker on the map above. There will be a small opening here that leads further into the cave.
Go inside and use the bridge. Just after crossing the bridge, you will see the fossil location.
⦿ FOSSIL #3
Go to the Underground Waterway teleport waypoint and head northwest. Climb up the rocks beside the waterfall to get to the marker. When you reach the top, you will see a pond and an anemo tower to your right.
Activate it and ride the current and climb the wall to your right. The photo location is on the edge of the ledge.
⦿ FOSSIL #4
Use the same teleport waypoint in the Underground Waterway but head south instead. You will see the fossil location next to the water, guarded by some Hilichurls.
⦿ FOSSIL #5
Head to the teleport waypoint in the map above and start heading east to the marker.
The path here is pretty straightforward, simply follow the path and when you reach the marker, take a sharp turn to your left and you will see the fossil on the wall.
Go to the indicator to take a photo of the fossil and you will get the photo of a strange rock item.
