The Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update came with a massive overhaul of many game mechanics and added several easter eggs, as well as new features such as vehicular combat. Among these changes are a complete reimagining of the game’s perks and skills. With that said, how can one quickly level up the Solo and Engineer skills?

Fastest Way to Level Solo Engineer Skill Guide

First of all, you will need a shotgun for the Solo skill and a tech weapon for Engineer. In order to level them both up at the same time, you should find a good tech shotgun.

One example of this is the iconic weapon known as Order. Otherwise, just search through the many gun stores in the game or try to find an enemy that’s using one so you can loot it from them.

The Build

Since you gain more experience with a higher difficulty level, you’ll need a build that can both boost your damage potential and increase your survivability.

In the Body perk tree, you’re going to want to pump points into:

  • Die! Die! Die!
  • Bullet Ballet
  • Spontaneous Obliteration
  • Rush of Blood

These will give you the ability to occasionally instantly kill enemies, plus you will be dealing a lot more damage in general with lower recoil and faster reload speeds.

To boost your self-healing as well as add a bit more damage to your setup, you should also put points into:

  • Painkiller
  • Comeback Kid
  • Army of One
  • Adrenaline Rush
  • Unstoppable Force
  • Juggernaut
  • Pain to Gain

Under the Technical perk tree, you’ll also want to invest into:

  • Glutton for War
  • Transfusion
  • Health Freak
  • Field Medic
  • Borrowed Time

These perks will increase the effectiveness of your health items and make them recharge faster, allowing you to survive for much longer.

Farming Route

Before we get to the actual farming itself, you should go and sleep at any bed. The easiest one to get to will be at your starting apartment, though any other hideout should work as well.

Doing this gives you an hour-long EXP boost, which will help ease the grind a little bit more, though it isn’t necessary if you just want to get straight to shooting enemies.

For the first step, you should fast travel to the Pacifica Pier and just follow the beach or the road south to kill packs of Voodoo Boys and other gang members.

Keep following the path south until you reach the Grand Imperial Mall fast travel point, and make sure to kill every gang member along the way.

Possible targets will appear as grey circles on the minimap, so keep an eye out for them.

From the Grand Imperial Mall, simply teleport back to the previous point to sell your loot or just go to your nearest hideout to sleep and reset the enemies.

You can also do the spot on the beach closest to the rollercoaster, there’s about 20 of the gang members in there. Afterwards, run under the boardwalk just down the beach and they will respawn.

After each run, make sure to craft more shotgun ammunition, as you may run out in the middle of combat, and you won’t be able to make some until you’re in a safe spot.

And that’s how you quickly level up the Solo and Engineering skills. Take note that the spawns are not always consistent, so sometimes mob packs may not show up in certain spots even after you reset them.
