In The Front, you’re going to need a lot of materials to make all sorts of things in the game. From base parts like walls and farming plots, to weapons like shotguns and grenades. To make grinding for materials easier, you’ll want to get better tools for the job!
These are the steps we’ll be taking to get better gathering tools in The Front:
- Go to your research tree.
- Select the Weapons Tab.
- Research the top part of the Weapons tree.
- Reach the better gathering tools like Iron Axes and Knives!

So, to get better gathering tools in The Front, you’ll need to do some research first. Go to the tech tree and select the Weapons Tab. On the top part of the weapons tree, you’ll find the research for better tools in the game.
You’ll start with Stone and wood tools and afterwards, you’ll learn to make the Weapon Crafting Table. From there, you’ll research more advanced tools like Iron axes and knives.
When you have these tools, it’ll increase the amount of loot you get from loot sources, so it’s best to get them early on.
I suggest prioritizing getting better gathering tools in the early game so that grinding for materials won’t be a problem later on.
