Alan Wake 2: Figure Out What Happened to Nightingale

Alan Wake 2 is a survival horror game where you play as the FBI Agent Saga Anderson and solve many of the mysteries. As the number of cases grows, the amount of information that you need to put together is also a lot in order to successfully solve a case.

Your current case is The Cauldron Lake Murders, and you are working with a partner to figure out what happened to Nightingale. However, finding the hints can be difficult for some players. That’s why we are here to provide you with the steps on how you can complete this objective.

Figure Out What Happened to Nightingale

After investigating the crime scene, you will follow your partner to a tree. When you interact with the tree, you will be able to find two hints.

Then, interact and collect the hint and the letter on the ground. After that, you will see the objective on the top left of your screen change to ‘Figure out what happened to Nightingale.’

You will also receive a manuscript page of Nightingale in your Profiling Tab. Manuscript pages can be read inside Saga’s Mind Place.

To complete the objective, put in your two clues called ‘Footprints emerging from under the rock‘ and ‘Trail has gone cold‘ on the case board.

These two hints are what you have found from the tree earlier when you were investigating the area. The information will help you determine where the victim came from.

After that, place the last item, which is the manuscript page on the case board. This will then help you unlock another option in the Mind Place’s Profiling Tab.

Then, exit the case board and go to your Nightingale’s profiling. There, you can see that another new option has been unlocked for you.

This will give you more information regarding what has happened to Nightingale.

After that, place the new hint you have just unlocked on the board. You will then see the ‘Anything Else Here‘ turn green, indicating that the objective has been completed.

Once it is done, you are now ready to move on to the next part of the story.
