If you are ready to take off your opponents’ heads and turn them into cash, this game might be what you are looking for. However, as this game is pretty new, you might struggle with learning what you need to do all by yourself. Thus, this is why we will explain everything you need to know in this Head Hunter: Complete Beginner’s Guide. So, let’s not waste any time!
Complete Beginner’s Guide
No one starts a game as a professional player, but, you are going to learn every important thing a beginner should know by the end of this guide. Let’s dive right into our guide.

Starter Area
First things first, you should take a look at the starter area of the game to see what kind of things are waiting for you there.
When you go to the left from the lobby and pass through the door there, you will see three doors.
On the very left, you will see the Head Collection area. It is where you can check the number of heads you have. Once you reach a certain number of heads, you are going to get an achievement.
In the middle, you will see the Top Clans area. You can check the leadership board of clans there.
Finally, on the right side of this area, you will see the Clans door. There, you can create a clan of your own and invite other people to join you.
Now, back to the lobby, you will see a merchant that sells weapons. On the right side of that merchant, there is also another person who lets you customize your weapons and shields.
Weapons
As a beginner in the game, you will start with a Sword, Spear, War Hammer, and Dual Axes in your inventory.
From that point, you are free to choose your main weapon from any of these choices. From the Weapons area, you can purchase a Katana, Sycthe, Rapier, or a Bo Staff.
Right now, every weapon deals the same amount of damage to keep the game simple. Therefore, it does not matter which weapon you use, it is completely up to you how you want to play the game.
Tools
There are five tools that you can get in the game. Most of them provide you with a source of light. Let’s see what they are.
- Title: This tool enables you to create a title for yourself. You can choose a display name and also adjust the color of this title from here.
- Torch
- Lantern
- Eternox
- Necroflame
Except for the Title, every other tool is used for illuminating the darkness by creating a light source for you.
Ornaments
The ornaments are purely cosmetics in the game. You can purchase them by spending your heads. There are 14 ornaments you can purchase.
- Pendant
- Horseshoe
- Lantern
- The Skewered
- The Chained
- Reinforced Pendant
- Arrow
- Suspended
- Punished
- Capsule
- Caged
- Candle
- Spiked
- Triple Chained
If you have extra heads that you want to spend on your looks, go ahead and choose one for yourself!
Events
This allows you to purchase an event that boosts you or the people around you. However, to be able to get those events, you need to pay Robux.
- 1.5x XP
- Starborn Delivery: A creature gives you a package that possibly contains many items.
- 2x XP
- Capture the Flag: Starts a game of Capture the Flag.
- 2x Heads
- King of the Hill: Starts a game of King of the Hill, and the winner gets a special item.
- Fallen Dragon
Customization
You can find the Customization area just next to the Weapons. This area lets you customize your weapons and shields. However, most of these customization options require you to use a game pass.
Skills
There are 10 Skills that you can upgrade throughout the game. Each one gives you different boosts.
- Walk Speed: Each skill point added increases your speed while walking.
- You need to spend 4 Heads to get it.
- Run Speed: Increases your speed while running.
- Requires 6 Heads.
- Dash Ability: Boosts the amount of dashes you can perform.
- Can be purchased for 75 Heads.
- Dash Delay: Decreases the delay between sliding and rolling. It means that upgrading this skill will decrease the time you need to wait to do another dash when you already performed one.
- Requires 5 Heads.
- Jump Ability: Increases the amount of jumps you can perform.
- You need to pay 75 Heads to get it.
- Jump Delay: Decreases the delay between jumping. Just like the Dash Delay, it reduces the time you need to wait to perform another jump.
- Requires 6 Heads.
- Jump Height: Increases your height while jumping.
- You must spend 10 Heads to get it.
- Landing Delay: Decreases your landing time.
- Requires 4 Heads.
- Inventory Space: Each skill point added will add one more inventory slot.
- You need to pay 6 Heads to get it.
- Health on Kill: Increases health gained on kills and head pick-up.
- Requires 4 Heads.
Once you spend the amount of heads you need to pay for each skill, you will unlock them. However, that skill will not be leveled up. In order to level up your skills, you need to spend Skill Points.
Main Skills
Along with these skills, there are also 3 more skills that you can reveal by clicking on the right arrow below the list. These are your main skills.
- Damage: Each skill point added increases the damage of your weapon. You can unlock this skill by paying 18 Heads.
- Attack Speed: Each point decreases your weapon’s attack time. Requires 12 Heads.
- XP Boost: Increases the XP gained. You can get it for 30 Heads.
These three skills are the most important skills for you. We highly advise you to use your skill points on them before doing anything else.
Special Abilities
By going straight from the lobby and climbing up the stairs, you can arrive at the Special Abilities and Movement area.
You can purchase a special ability for yourself from that location. The abilities you can get right now are:
- Harmony
- Charge
- Critical Backstab
- Skyfall
- Shield
- Elixir Absorption
- Torrent
- Glide
- Parry
- Boulder
- Whirlwind
- Outburst
You can simply purchase these special abilities by spending your heads.
Basics of the Game & Combat
Now, let’s see the basics of the game. We are going to explain how to move and which keys you need to use to perform basic moves in the game.
- You can jump three times off the walls. You can use this to climb to a place that you wish to go.
- By using the right click, you can perform Heavy Attack.
- Use the F key to slide.
- If you use F when you jump, your character will do a mid-air jump.
Other than these basic moves, you are going to need to use different key binds for each weapon. As we mentioned before, each weapon deals the same damage right now, but they do have different attacks.
