For the first few parts of the game Alan Wake 2, you’ll act as the FBI Agent Saga Anderson to solve many of the mysterious cases in Bright Falls. Other than that, you’ll also get to play as Alan Wake, another playable character with a different set of stories for you to know more about.
A person has sent you a message, telling you to see them at the Caldera Street Station. You’ve decided to trust them and now you are on your way to that location. Some players have been running in circles trying to get there, so we’re here to help you navigate yourself and enter Caldera St Station.
Enter Caldera St Station
First, you’ll need to find a way to protect yourself first with a flashlight and other equipment. You’ll want to head into the Alley.
Then, follow along the path until you reach the very end. The Alley can be found when you turn left when you’re walking on Ocean Avenue.
At the very end, you will be able to see a corpse. You can press the key to interact with it. As you investigate the body, you will be able to find a flashlight and a gun.
These two items will be really useful for you to protect yourself against potential threats as you progress further into the station.
With the flashlight, you’ll be able to go even deeper in. You will then be able to see some yellow arrows that lead you towards a small door.
You will be able to see some words on top of the door. These will be words that you can collect and assign in the Writer’s Room. Open that door and keep going deeper.
After that, you will be able to see an active light shift. To see its exact location, you can also open up your map.
Then, transfer that light to your lamp and head back towards the subway station’s entrance. As you run there, do not look back because there can be a dark shadow that’s following you.
Once you have arrived at the Caldera St. Subway Station entrance, open up your map. You will be able to see an inactive Light Shift.
Remember that light you collected earlier? You can then use it to activate the lights. Then, you’ll see the ‘Use light to get into Caulder St Station‘ goal completed.
Then, equip your flashlight and walk up the stairs to go deeper in. Turn right as you reach the railway and walk to the end.
To your left, you will be able to see some ladders which you can take to climb upwards.
After you have climbed up the ladders, keep going deeper in. Pay attention to your right, since you will encounter a shadow figure.
In order to remove it, toggle your flashlight boost and you will be able to take it down.
After that, turn left and use the door to go inside the building. Keep going downwards using the stairs and then turn left again.
As you go, you’ll encounter some of those dark shadows again, so be careful. You can use your flashlights to protect yourself and continue going deeper in.
As you walk towards the left side, you will be able to see some stairs to your right. Next to those stairs, there is also a yellow arrow pointing upwards. Go up 1 floor only and turn left.
As you walk along the path, you’ll encounter another shadow. Use your flashlight and it will disappear, allowing you to keep going forward.
You’ll also see a door with the ‘Lost‘ text on it. Open that door and walk inside of it.
Keep walking straight forward and make a left turn when you reach the end and see a yellow car.
Before you make that left turn, however, use your lamp and collect the lights from the car. After you walk to the very end, you will be able to see a small gate which you can open.
Keep walking straightforward and try to ignore all the shadows even though they may seem really scary.
Turn right after you reach the Caldera Subway Station, and you will be able to see an inactive light shift again. Afterwards, you can transfer the light you collected from the car earlier to it.
Head back and collect the active light shift behind you.
After that, take the stairs that lead downwards into the station. Inside, you can use the light you collected earlier to light up the whole area.
The game’s objective ‘Enter Caldera St Station‘ will be marked as completed. Then, another new objective will pop up, telling you to explore the area.
