COD MW3: How to Create Private Match | 1v1 Friends & Play Bots Custom Game

Call of Duty started as a single-player game but nowadays it’s mainly a multiplayer one. Sure, there’s the campaign that everyone plays on the first week after release, but people mainly play with other players. In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, you can play with bots or set up a private game with friends if you don’t want to deal with random people.

In this guide, we’ll show you how you can set up a private match in the game. From there you can play with your friends and with bots! Now let’s see how we can set this up.

How to Create Private Match | 1v1 Friends & Play Bots Custom Game

If you want to play with friends only or even with just bots, then it’s quite easy to set it up. All you need to do is select the right game mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, invite friends, and/or add the bots.

Setting Up A Private Match And Game Codes

To have bots and only friends in your game, you’ll need to set up a private match. To create one, go to the Modern Warfare 3 menu, and under the HQ tab go to the right and select “Private Match.”

From there, you can set up the type of match you’ll want to do as well as the map and the rules.

If you want to get friends into the game, they’ll need to join via a Game Code. This is automatically generated when the private match is done loading.

You can see the Game Code on the lower left corner of your screen on the Start Match button.

Adding Bots And Friends

If you or your friends want to play with bots, then you can do so by selecting the plus icon on either of the teams. This is also the place where you’ll want to go to invite your friends to the game.

When you select the plus icon, a new window will appear. There, you can press the Invite Player Button to select which friends you’ll want to invite into the match.

You can also set the amount of bots there are in that team as well as the difficulty of the bots. Once you’re done with setting it up, you can then press the Confirm button.

With the game set up and the bots and friends inside the match, you can now play the game with them!
