In Genshin Impact, there are many world quests that you can complete, and over time, the developers add more of them to spice things up a bit. Eventually, with the recent update, you will be tasked with searching for six Looking Glass mirrors scattered throughout the map. Here’s a quick guide on how to find all of them!
All 6 Looking Glass Locations
Before we begin, it should be noted that these steps will all require you to have finished some prerequisite quests first, such as Search in the Algae Sea.
As far as we know, there is no specific order in which you have to find these mirrors, so feel free to do it in whichever manner you are more comfortable with.
NOTE: If you’re having trouble locating the mirror due to a different room layout, make sure you entered the tower through the lowest entrance – that’s the correct one.
Also, this quest has a 2nd part, that you have to wait for 4 days in-game. The quest named “Pursuit” is the key to unlocking the “Happy Birthday” world quest.
If you’re having trouble accessing the sunflower mirror, simply look in every mirror to see if the fireplace next to the sunflower mirror is lit.
Location #1
For the first one, fast travel to the waypoint in Morte Region, Fontaine, directly north of the Tower of Ipsissimus.
From here, swim into the archway leading inside an underwater structure, and simply follow the linear path through the water.
You’ll eventually enter the Orthant of Memory. Once inside, swim to the upper right hand side of the area and you should find the first looking glass leaning up against a wall. You will have to defeat a handful of enemies once you enter it.
Location #2
For the next one, still within the Morte Region, you will have to fast travel to the waypoint right under the East Slopes of Mont Automnequi.
From here, swim inside the structure that brings you back to your feet. Then, start running to the left and enter another large archway.
Once you reach the obelisk-like structure in the middle, take another left and you should eventually see the second looking glass hanging from the wall to your right.
Once inside, you will need to switch to a Pyro character to light two unlit torches. It’s a very simple puzzle and it should only take you a couple of seconds to complete this step.
Location #3
For the third location, you will want to fast travel to the first waypoint directly south of the Fort Charybdis Ruins.
From here, climb the steps into the ruins and keep running forward. You’ll immediately find the next looking glass propped up on a wall to your left. You’ll have to beat another group of enemies inside this one.
Location #4
After leaving the previous mirror, take the elevator right beside it. This will take you down to the Orthant of Wishes.
Run down the stairs and keep running forward until you reach another elevator. Once you reach the lower part, simply run forward to the end of the cave and you’ll find the fourth mirror on the ground.
Just like the previous one, you’ll also have to defeat a small group of enemies in this room. Again, this shouldn’t prove to be a challenge.
Location #5
For the fifth one, fast travel to the waypoint directly south of the Tower of Ipsissimus. From there, make your way to the structure to your right.
Once you’re back on your feet, you’ll find yourself in the Orthant of Persona. Simply make your way through the linear hallway and you should eventually find the fifth looking glass hanging from a wall to your left.
You’ll be faced with another enemy inside this mirror and defeating it should reward you with an Exquisite Chest containing varying rewards.
Location #6
For the sixth and final mirror, you’ll have to make your way into the Tower of Ipsissimus itself. From the outside, swim your way inside the structure and go into the entrance in the middle.
NOTE: You need to finish the whole Narzissenkreuz quest until you say goodbye to everyone (no spoilers here). If you don’t, the painting in the sunken tower will be there, but it won’t light up.
You may also need to update your game first, to get access to the room.
Once inside, swim toward the door to your east (use the minimap for guidance). Upon going through the arch, you should see the final looking glass on a wall to your right.
And those are where all of the six mirrors are located around the map. Now, get out there and start finding them yourself!
