The Awakened King DLC for Remnant 2 has injected new fresh content for fans of the games to get back into it. There are new main missions and areas to explore ensuring that players do not run out of things to do anytime soon. Additionally, there are even new items that players can discover. There are some items that are cleverly and well hidden in the game.
The Cost of Betrayal Amulet is one such item, which is hidden in a section of the main story. A unique item that requires an interesting process for you to obtain it. In this guide, we will show you the exact process to ensure that you can get the Cost of Betrayal Amulet for yourself. Let’s dive in and how to get it!
How to Get Cost of Betrayal Amulet
The Cost of Betrayal Amulet requires you to have unlocked The Chamber of the Faithless location. You can unlock this location as part of the DLC’s Main Story. Once you have unlocked this location, you can go ahead and spawn to it.
NOTE: The location of the corpse/bodies will be random. You’ll have to explore the chamber and check every nook & cranny.
We’ll be providing an example of a location and what the “corpse” looks like below, so check it out.
After spawning, make your way up the stairs. After that, continue ahead into the chamber. Here you will see the bodies of the council members impaled against some pillars.
Approach the bodies and start aiming at them. You will need to shoot each of them one by one until the Cost of Betrayal Amulet drops.
The Amulet drop is random so it may come out of any of the bodies. Just keep shooting each body until you see it drop.
You will know that the amulet has dropped once you see a small item with a purple glow drop to the ground.
Approach the item and you will see that it is indeed the Cost of Betrayal Amulet. Go ahead and pick it up to obtain it in your inventory.
Now, you can go into the Menu and select the Amulet section of your inventory. Here you can find the Cost of Betrayal Amulet ready for you to equip. The Cost of Betrayal Amulet provides the following stat boosts:
- Reduces Max Relic Charges to 1.
- Increases All Damage by 20% when the wearer has 1 Relic Charge.
- Increases incoming damage by 20% when the wearer has no Relic Charges and after 30s regain 1 Relic Charge.
Some really useful stat boosts that will make the effort worth it. Besides that, it is just a cool secret item that ties into the lore of the DLC’s main story.
That’s all you need to do to get the Cost of Betrayal Amulet. The item relates to the lore really well, since the council members in the Chamber of the Faithless were betrayed and killed. As a result, we really appreciate this touch added by the devs to the game. Additionally, the Amulet also provides some great stat boosts. So, it’s much better with you than a bunch of corpses!
