How To Get Feather

The Feather is a reward to winning the Dodo Statue minigame. After entering Nimbus Castle, make sure to finish the minigame without getting caught against Dodo to get the Feather for free. Otherwise, you can just reload your save file to try again.

To do this, make sure to jump before he pecks you. You can learn his timing as he’ll give the other two statues pecks first before it’s your turn.

After winning the minigame, head back to the previous room and you should see the Feather on the floor to pick up. And that’s how you can get it for free!

Originally, this was the only sequence where you can get the Feather. The remake version, however, has made it possible to get the Feather if you fail or missed the minigame.

You can buy another one for 250 coins at the Treasure Hunting Toad shop after unlocking Nimbus Land. And you can do this after defeating Punchinello for the 3rd Star Piece.
