Additionally, you have the chance to play with some iconic characters featured from the most popular anime out there. A great combination that leads to fun gameplay, with the chance to use unique abilities to get the upper hand on your opponents.
However, the game can feel a little bit overwhelming at the start for players just starting out. As a result, we have prepared this Beginner’s Guide that will help you understand how to start out with the starting characters. Additionally, we will also provide tips and tricks that will help you start out strong. Let’s dive into this beginner’s guide!
Complete Beginner’s Guide
There are quite a few characters that you can work towards at the start to obtain. In this guide, we will look at only the easiest ones to obtain so that you can get started with the game. You can choose whichever one suits your play style and preference.

Goju
Starting off, we have Goju, who is a decent character that relies mostly on mind games as opposed to other qualities.
His first ability is Fake Ball, which basically creates another ball when used. This ball is fake and is not actually part of the game. While it may seem it is a great ability to throw off opponents, you will not be able to trick most pros.
However, this ability does auto block the ball, so we recommend using it mainly for defensive purposes.
After that, we have Phase Dash which works well for mobility. It allows Goju to teleport immediately allowing you to avoid the ball or even get a better angle on your opponent.
The Blindfold ability is really useful as you can completely blind your opponent for a few seconds. This ability can be a little unreliable at times as it will only target the nearest enemy, which is difficult to judge in intense situations.
The Astral Portal ability is a very powerful ability if it is used right. You can use it to create a portal that causes the ball to come out of it. If timed right, it can really throw off your opponents. You can even use it with Fake Ball to further confuse enemies.
Luffy
Luffy is another great character, and you can argue that he is slightly better than Goju because of his great mix of abilities.
Starting off, he has the Extend-O Arm ability which is a great offensive move. You can use it to hit the ball from far away which means it is suitable for some great opportunities. This includes getting a second hit after you deflect the ball, to catch enemies off guard.
We recommend using it when the ball is close to another enemy, as they will not have time to react.
The Gum Gum Balloon is a great ability for evasion and mobility. You can use it to jump into the air allowing your character to gain a lot of vertical distance. We highly recommend you use it catch a breather if you are in danger.
Additionally, you can use it to sneak up on enemies undetected before hitting them with the ball.
Luffy also has a great Defensive ability in the form of the Glass Wall. It allows him to create a shield in front of him which has a durability of two. This means that you can take two hits from the Ball if it hits you in the front without you taking damage.
However, watch your back as you are not invincible if it comes from behind!
The Time Haki ability is an excellent ability that has various applications. It can be used to slow down the ball so that you can get out of an intense or dangerous situation. You can also use it to interrupt the flow of the match, which can destroy the rhythm of opponents.
Saitama
Saitama is an excellent character that relies on offense and mobility. If this is a play style that suits you, we highly recommend that you start with Saitama. You will even have the opportunity to do combos as you get used to him, making you a force to be reckoned with.
Starting off, there is the Upper Cut ability that can be used to speed up the ball and send it flying vertically.
This can be used to hit enemies using mobility abilities that are in the air thinking they are safe and catching them off guard. It also speeds up the ball slightly which can also be used to surprise enemies.
Next, we have Super Jump which can be used for evasive maneuvers and moving around the map. It works similarly to the other characters, where Saitama can gain a lot of vertical distance immediately.
Sonic Slide is an ability that has so many applications. It can be used for mobility as Saitama slides around the map. Additionally, it can also be used to hit the ball if you dash towards it. It is a great way to start off combos in combination with the other abilities.
For example, you can use Sonic Slide to go towards the ball and then use Upper Cut to send it upwards.
Last, but not least, we have Ground Walls which can be very damaging to opponents if timed right. Use it when the ball is coming towards you to bounce it back within a radius and catch enemies off guard to deal devastating damage.
Tips & Tricks
We recommend that you choose characters based on your play style. Using the strategies outlined above, you should be able to get a pretty good idea of how each character functions. Keep in mind that there are some characters that you can purchase for Robux.
However, the game is actually pretty well balanced, meaning Robux characters will not give you an unfair advantage. So experiment with different characters until you can get in the groove.
