Complete Gearless Movement Guide
There are tons of movements you can learn in Parkour Reborn that do not require you to have any gear. We are going to talk about each one of them separately and let you know how you are going to perform them.
There are 29 gearless movements we are going to cover in this guide, along with some other movements and some key bind and setting advice.
Settings & Keybinds
Before you take a look at the movements, we recommend you open the menu by pressing the TAB button. After that, disable the auto parkour feature. Doing this will give you more control over your movements and you are going to see that it is much easier to perform the moves without this feature.
After disabling the auto parkour feature, you can also make some key bind changes to make it easier for you to perform the moves. In order to do that press the controls button and open the key bind menu.
- Up Move -> Space
- Down Move -> Shift
- Dash -> Scroll Wheel
You can apply these changes or you can alter them as you see fit.
Momentum
- Level Requirement: 0
Now that you applied your key bind settings, we can move on to our first move. This movement is called Momentum, and it is the core mechanic in Parkour Reborn.
It gradually builds up as you run around and parkour. As you run, you see a momentum bar on the screen, your maximum momentum increases with your level and caps at level 20.
If you stop running or take any damage, you are going to lose your momentum. It is important to always maintain your momentum as this is one of the core mechanics of the game and affects many other movements as well.
Jumping
- Level Requirement: 0
You can jump by pressing the space or using whichever key you set for Up Move. If you hold the set key, you can jump higher. This movement is pretty important in the game and becomes very useful as you progress in the game.
Vaulting & Mantle
- Level Requirement: 0
By using Vaulting and Mantle, you can vault over small obstacles by running up to them and pressing the space (up move.)
If you hold space instead of just pressing it, you will launch yourself horizontally and vertically. Depending on the obstacle, you are either going to perform a mantle or a vault.
Wall Climb
- Level Requirement: 0
You can only perform one Wall Climb mid-air. In order to perform a Wall Climb, you should run up to a wall, jump and hold space while in mid-air, and release once you are at the top.
Make sure to keep holding the W key while Wall Climbing as well. Your momentum will affect how high you can wall climb. If you have low momentum, your wall climb will become ineffective.
Wall Run
- Level Requirement: 0
The Wall Run movement is very useful when you need to clear large gaps. In order to perform a Wall Run, you should run parallel to the wall, jump, and then hold space while you are mid-air. You can perform 2 Wall Runs in mid-air as long as each one is at a different angle.
Wall Climb & Wall Run
- Level Requirement: 0
Sometimes in the game, you are going to notice that some walls are too high for a single Wall Climb. In those cases, you will need to use Wall Climb and Wall Run movements together to gain extra height.
Run up to a wall, press space to jump and hold space, release space, hold space once more and release it again to perform this movement combination.
Wall Bounce
- Level Requirement: 0
In order to perform a wall bounce, you should tap space while mid-air in front of a wall. Make sure to release WASD while you are doing that. You can change the direction by flicking to the side. If you combine this move with a Wall Run, it can give you a speed boost.
Pogo Jump
- Level Requirement: 0
The Pogo Jump movement gives you extra height and can be performed if there is a floor at the end of the Wall Run. In order to perform a pogo jump, do a wall run and then release the space key right when you touch the ground and immediately hold the space again.
Springboard
- Level Requirement: 0
You can perform a Springboard when the obstacles you encounter are not too high. All you need too do to do this movement is hold space in front of an obstacle and release WASD.
Landing
- Level Requirement: 0
You can use the Landing move and hold the down move before impact to negate fall damage from certain heights.
Pipes and Ladders
- Level Requirement: 0
The pipes and ladders you see on your way can be climbed and will reset your movement ammo. Meaning that your wall climb, wall run, and other similar movements will stop once you start climbing pipes or ladders.
You can tap space to climb jump or jump out. You do not get fall damage from pipes and ladders, so you do not have to hold space when you fall down.
Slope
- Level Requirement: 0
Slopes are steep and they automatically make you slide down. These slopes can negate your fall damage as well; therefore, you should hold shift before the impact.
Landing Pads
- Level Requirement: 0
Landing pads are the things that look like planks on your way. They can negate your fall damage. If you fall down from a very high height, you will probably not going to survive.
You can fix this by stabilizing your fall. In order to do that, hold up move and down move. Then, when you are about to get the damage, release shift and hold shift again before landing.
Zipline
- Level Requirement: 0
Ziplines are the metal wires on your way. You ca use them by pressing the context action key bind. Ziplines can negate your fall damage as well, but you do not need to hold the shift.
Glass
- Level Requirement: 0
You have the ability to break through the glasses, just like you saw in the tutorial. You can also break it by falling right through it. Yet, make sure to hold shift before impact with the glass and with the ground below.
Coil
- Level Requirement: 2
Coiling movement is pretty simple. All you need to do is hold shift button when you are going up. Doing this raises your hitbox and allows you to reach a higher surface.
Dash
- Level Requirement: 3
When you hold down the dash, you are going to see the green bar filling up. This will give you a little speed boost, but it has a cooldown time. If you jump off an edge right after a dash, you are going to perform a Flail Jump. It is not very powerful.
Power Slide
- Level Requirement: 5
In order to perform a power slide, hold shift. This ability lets you slide on slopes that are not steep enough to trigger an auto slide.
Drop Down
- Level Requirement: 6
If you are at an edge that is too high to survive, you can press on shift key on the ledge to perform a drop down and survive the longer falls situations.
Afterboost
- Level Requirement: 8
If you hold the dash move until the bar is full, you are going to notice that the bar is turning red. Once the bar is fully red, release dash then immediately hold it again to perform an afterboost.
Long Jump
- Level Requirement: 8
You can perform a long jump by jumping off an edge right after you perform an afterboost. Holding space makes you long jump higher and further. You need to time your afterboost, so that the bar fills up right when you reach the edge of the building.
Air Dash
- Level Requirement: 10
All you need to do to perform an Air Dash is hold dash mid-air and a purple bar will appear. That purple bar you see indicates that you activated the Air Dash, and it has a cooldown.
Wall Clutch
- Level Requirement: 10
If you climb a wall during an Air Dash, you are going to perform a Wall Clutch. Wall Clutch movement allows you to grab a wall while falling. In order to do it, simply Air Dash and then press space.
Wall Boost
- Level Requirement: 10
In order to perform a wall boost, first air dash, press space, turn around and press space once more. You need to tap space twice within 0.15 seconds or 150ms for a wall boost to be performed. You can do a wall boost while falling, just like wall clutch.
For more detailed instructions about this movement, check out our Parkour Reborn: How To Wallclimb Boost Guide & Tutorial.
Wall Kick
- Level Requirement: 15
You can do a wall kick by performing an air dash then turning your back against the wall and pressing space mid-air. Holding S key will make you stay at the same place while also going up. This movement is very useful when you need a little extra height.
You cannot perform a wall clutch or a wall boost after a wall kick. This is because wall kick consumes your air dash. Therefore, you should always try wall boost before the wall kick.
You can combine a wall bounce with the wall kick, this is called a Dragon Bounce. This can launch you further than a wall bounce.
Chaining
- Level Requirement: 20
Chaining allows you to long jump consecutively without the need to perform another afterboost. Make sure to jump at the edge every time you land. You can keep chaining along the ledge in a momentum as well.
When practicing this movement, focus on the moment you are going to land. The red outlines on both sides of the momentum bar indicates that you can keep chaining.
For more detailed instructions about this movement, check out our Parkour Reborn: Best Chaining Guide.
Pogo Boost
- Level Requirement: 20
When you perform a Pogo Jump with a chain instead of a jump, this is called a Pogo Boost. The steps you are going to follow are exactly the same as the Pogo Jump, you just chain instead of the jump part of the movement.
Static Chaining
- Level Requirement: 20
A static chain allows you to keep chaining at the same place to build up momentum. After the initial long jump, tap S to stop going forward. This slows you down, but you still keep your momentum. If you follow the steps correctly, you will not have any problems with performing it.
Long Jump Boost (Wumpy)
- Level Requirement: 20
The long jump boost is also known as a Wumpy. This movement is an inverse long jump boost. In order to perform a long jump boost, start by chaining. Then, do a wall boost on the edge. When the walking animation begins, hold space to chain off.
If you are not good at aiming, it is recommended that you try the inverse version. Every step is the same, but you face away from the edge instead. Make sure to hold S when climbing off. Since you are already facing away, you will always perform a chain.
That means that you do not have to worry about getting the timing right. You can also get similar results from other movements that give vertical velocity as well, such as wall run.
For more detailed instructions about this movement, check out our Parkour Reborn: How To Wumpy Perfectly Guide.
Directional Long Jump Boost
You can redirect the Long Jump Boost by facing another direction before chaining off. In order to do a backwards long jump boost, follow the steps of long jump boost but release S key and start holding W key.
When you jump, tap S a little bit so that walking animation releases S. After that hold the W key and jump. Make sure to always hold the W key before jumping. By holding every movement key before you chain, you can perform long jump boost directly upwards.
Other Movements (Bugs and Glitches)
Other than the movements we talked about, there are some other moves that you can perform because of an existing glitch or bug in the game. One of these moves is a Slide Boost. You can perform it by sliding and jumping immediately after you touch the ground.
By timing your jump perfectly on a steep slope, you can get an insane speed depending on your falling speed.
The trick to do this move is holding the space key a little bit before you actually touch the slope. While doing this move, make sure to hold the space to save yourself from dying.
