Itsumade is an enemy that comes straight from the depths of hell. He is very hard to deal with and it might take you a couple of tries until you get to learn his pattern. Here we will try to go over the best way how to deal with him. Let’s get started.

Itsumade Guide – Nioh 2

First of all, this enemy is super tough. Many players see Itsumade as a boss, and they are right to do so. He is very complex and you are required to pay attention to his moves all the time while simultaneously keeping up the pressure on him. He can literally break you in half!

Basics:

As you can see from the beginning of the battle, Itsumade keeps exploding the Yokai Realms and sometimes he detonates all of them. That’s why for starters, it’s very important to purify them as soon as possible. This also opens some opening attack chains you can do on him.

The first Burst Attack is a dive that can spawn Yokai Realms and he can explode them almost immediately. You can counter this by using the Feral or Phantom counters.

The Second Burst Attack will summon a lot of Yokai Realms in his surrounding area. Make sure to purify all of them, if possible. He will explode all of them and potentially one-shot you.

You can counter this by using the Brute Burst Counter. Also, make a habit to dodge on the sides whenever he gets ready for a strike.

Weakness:

Itsumades weak spot is his glowing chest. If you can manage to hit it while it is glowing you will stagger him and inflict a ton of damage. After you hit it, you can notice that he will take a moment to recover, and then his chest will no longer glow.

When it no longer glows, you can no longer hit it for some time.

Whenever he is spreading his wings to go for a grab, this is a good time to strike.

When he is going for exploding all of the Yokai Realms, he will take a moment before blowing them up. Rush next to him, and deal a very big burst of damage.

When he might go down, almost as if crouched on the ground, go for a grapple and you’ll do a mini animation attack on his glowing chest. Careful, after doing this he might use a Wake-Up attack on you.

Difficulties:

He is really difficult and dangerous to deal with because of how unpredictable and mixed up his attacks can be.

When he is doing a Claw Swipe, sometimes, out of the blue he will add an extra attack that might catch you off-guard.

He can sweep, and then randomly stab with his tail.

Itsumade never stops the pressure on you, so really, whenever you can get the opportunity to hit his glowing spot, make sure to maximize your damage on it.

Just keep on dodging, until you have been made sure that his attack chains have stopped, and he will every once in a while. Keep on a lookout and make sure you purify his AoE attacks.
