First, let’s get to know about the four basic abilities that you will be using in fights against other players. There are four damaging abilities that you can use:
- Accursed Enchantment: The user charges up a projectile before launching it towards an opponent, dealing damage in a small area. This is a move with low cooldowns you can use to deal damage to your opponents over time.
- Tails of Burning Agony: Performs an attack that moves in a Z Shape before hitting the targeted opponent, dealing damage. The ability can also stun your opponents and can act as a Ken break. The move has a knockback effect, which can be good for combos.
- Fox Fire Disruption: Charges a huge orb before launching it at an opponent. Upon hitting an opponent or the ground, a huge explosion will be caused. This explosion will deal great damage to any opponents that get it. It can also Ken break. However, it doesn’t stun for that long.
- Swift Assault: The user charges at the opponent, and then performs rapid claw attacks. At the end of the move, your opponent will be knocked backward.
Transformed Kitsune
The Kitsune Fruit’s last ability is Transformation. If you look to the right side of your screen, above your abilities, you will be able to see the Tails bar.
Once the bar reaches the third stage, you will be able to transform into the Kitsune Form.
You can initiate the transformation by pressing the V Key (on PC). This form will greatly enhance your abilities, making them deal more damage in a larger AoE.
Accursed Enchantment will shoot a bigger projectile that will cause a huge explosion upon landing. Using the ability in this form will have your damage increased by a large amount. To increase your accuracy, consider staying near your opponent since the Kitsune form excels at short-range fights.
Tails of Burning Agony will make you jump upwards before launching yourself downwards. Upon landing, you will cause a huge explosion and fox tails will start appearing from the cracks on the ground. The effects look very cool so you should give it a try.
Fox Fire Disruption makes you charge a beam attack. Upon hitting an opponent or object, it will explode in a huge area. This makes an even bigger explosion compared to Accursed Enchantment.
Swift Assault will make you dash forward before slashing in a circle around you. The slash will deal great damage to any opponents that get hit. The ability is quite the same as when you are using it in the normal form.
How To Use Kitsune Fruit Effectively
The Kitsune form is considered to be better at short-range fights where you need to use combos really often.
The normal human form is better at long-range fights where you spam your abilities to chip away your opponents’ health.
During the transformation, you will also receive a damage reduction, making you tankier. Since you are bigger in terms of size, people can easily land their skills on you so a damage reduction can be really useful.
