Shadovia: How To Find & Kill Vermillion Easily

Finding bosses is what’s going to start holding you down in Shadovia sooner rather than later. Once you get decent gear, it’s only a matter of time before you’re left with your head scratching figuring out who you want to try it on.

One of these targets will be Vermillion, a tricky foe to deal with and even trickier to locate. But he doesn’t know that you’ll be coming prepared since you have a guide to read.

How To Find & Kill Vermillion Easily

The first thing you need to do to get started is to go to the Elf Castle. You can find the Elf Castle by the edge of the mushroom biome.

Climb the tower once you get to the new area and talk to Princess Twix.

To do her quest, you’ll need a Gold Brooch. What that actually is when translated to English is a Gold Bracer that can be crafted using the anvil that’s right next to her.

Finish all of that and you can talk to Queen Dunn next. She’s in the building that’s behind the giant red mushroom. It’s right in front of the tower where Princess Twix is.

After talking to the Queen, you can go back to the Vampire Castle. Make sure that you have the Silly Fangs equipped if you want Don Precarious to talk to you.

He’ll give you a quest where you have to kill a Werewolf. Don’t worry, the quest will be tracked so you’ll know where to go. You have to.

Once you finish that quest, Don Precarious will give you some papers. You’ll need those papers when you talk to Princess Twix again back at the Elf Castle.

She’ll give you another quest where you have to defeat Chancellor A’amah. He’s the dude in the same room as the Queen, you visited her earlier when you first arrived in the Elf Shrine.

Take the Chancellor out and talk to the princess again to get the Angel’s Bell. She’ll tell you to go back to the Vampire Castle to take care of Vermillion.

You can get to the Vampire Castle by going to Vampire Town. Find the building that has a leaking water fountain.

If you can’t find it, then use the fast travel point and move to the bottom floor going out. Stick close to the fence and you’ll find a set of stairs leading into the building.

Use the Angel Bell on the fountain and it will turn red. Stand on top of it for a few seconds to get transported to the boss room.

What you can do to cheese Vermillion is to use a move called Dark Wisdom. It hurls a black ball of who- -knows-what-it’s-made-of in a straight direction.

Naturally, you want to send this black ball towards Vermillion. You can get this move as a drop from the Graveyard.

The proper application of this move is to stand in front of him at a distance. Don’t get too close, otherwise you’ll aggro him and he’ll just kill you easily instead.

Just keep holding R until his health drops to zero.
