Palia is an MMORPG that a lot of people are jumping in to try. Many have stayed after just experiencing the potential in the first couple of hours in the game, and you will too.
If you are planning on jumping into the game, then you will need to know that this is a game that requires you to know what you’re doing early on in the game if you want to encounter less problems in the future.
That includes knowing the best gold farm, how the economy is early in the game, and how you can tech up fast. In this guide, I will show you how you can do all of those things in Palia.
Best Possible Start For New Players
Gold Farming
When starting the game, you will first need to get as much gold as you can. This is important because the game gets expensive the more you progress.
If you can get yourself a ton of gold in the beginning, the major obstacles you encounter in as you play won’t affect you too much because you have enough gold to breeze through.
The best method you can do in terms of gold farming is by looting treasure chests. All over the world of Palia are treasure chests that you can find and loot for whatever is inside.
You will usually find a ton of gold inside, as well as some valuable items that you can either sell that will get you some pretty hefty gold in your pockets.
Early Economy
Now that you know how to farm for gold, you will now have to learn about the economy early in the game.
This isn’t in terms of gold, as the gold you will be farming with the method above should be able to last you until you reach mid to early-late game.
No, the economy is in terms of items that you will be using a lot.
These are items that will be used a lot when doing the early quests in the game. The quests require you to craft a lot of things, and those usually require Copper or Clay.
With that in mind, be sure to hoard these items as much as you can:
- Copper
- Clay
- Quality Fish (From the swirly pools in the water)
- Anything that is grabbable on the ground
It’s important to find as much of these items as you can because other players who are just starting the game will also look for these items.
Copper and Clay will take a long time to refresh if they are all gone, and Quality Fish can be hard to find as the swirly pools randomly spawn at any time. However, items that are grabbable refresh pretty quickly.
Teching Up Quickly
When you eventually reach the point where you can have your own place, you will be able to have tech related items you can place all around your home.
These can range from Wooden Storage Bin, Basic Smelter, Basic Sawmill and more. Basically, these are workstations that you will need to have as soon as possible if you want to get to some of the better upgrades in the game.
Bear in mind that this is still early in the game, and the workstations you see right now are all basic and bottom of the barrel.
When you slowly progress through the game, you will have access to better tech that increases the efficiency of the Sawmill, Smelter, and the Storage Bin.
That’s all you need to know on how to get the best possible start for new players in Palia. Did this guide help you understand how you can do better in the game? Let us know in the comments below.
