The Slime Mount in Shadovia is a great mobility tool that you can use to move around. It can be quite effective if you are fighting enemies as well. This is because you can still attack while riding the mount.
If you are using a ranged weapon, the movement speed from the mount will help you maintain a safe distance between you and your opponents.

Shadovia: How To Obtain Slime Mount
When you first spawn in the Spawn area, turn around and head in the direction we’ve drawn for you.
Make a left turn when you arrive at the Blacksmith. Then, walk straight and turn right.
You will be able to find a small hut with the Grumbles NPC in front of it. He has the appearance of a wizard, wearing blue clothes.
Talk to the NPC and he will ask you to go on a quest and defeat 10 Slimes. As you fight the Slimes, make sure you collect all the Slime Chunks they drop.
You will need 4 Slime Chunks to craft the mount.
Behind the Wizard Hut, you will be able to find many randomly spawning Slimes. If you do not see them there, you can go around the village and there will be plenty of these enemies.
After you have defeated 10 Slime enemies, go back to the Grumbles NPC one more time. He will then ask you to craft a mount using 4 Slime Chunks.
If you did not manage to get 4 Slime Chunks drops, you have no other option but to come back and keep fighting all the slime enemies until you have enough.
Once you’ve had enough materials, you can craft the Slime Mount at the Blacksmith. After you have crafted the mount, you can go back to Grumbles to receive your quest completion rewards.
The Slime Mount has a very cute appearance and can help you move more comfortably across different terrains. You can also attack while riding the mount so that’s also a nice advantage.
If You Are Too Weak
If you are still new to the game and are too weak to fight the Slime enemies, you should talk to the Sheriff NPC and receive a quest.
The quest will give you a useful ranged weapon that you can use to fight the slime enemies.
He will then ask you to defeat 5 Bandits. After you have talked to him, head in the direction that we have drawn for you and you will find the Bandit Camp.
These enemies are quite easy for you to defeat with a few swings of your beginner sword. Once you have defeated all 5 Bandits, come back to the Sheriff and receive your rewards.
He will then give you a Sheriff Gun which you can use to shoot the Slime enemies from afar. This is a great way for you to fight these enemies when you are still quite weak early on.
