Investigate the Stone Shrine is part of the “Floating Jade Treasure of Chenyu” sequence in Chenyu’s Blessing of Sunken Gate World Quest in Genshin Impact. While this might seem rather simple, you might have noticed that spamming your T button doesn’t seem to work. We’ll explain how the mechanic works in general, and how to solve this puzzle specifically in Update 4.4.
Investigate the Stone Shrine Quest Guide
There are two stone shrines in the northeast and southwest of Jademouth, as shown in these locations. Investigating these areas will require you to solve some simple puzzles along the way. And we’ll show you how to work them out!
Southwest Stone Shrine
You can reach down south easily via the Golden Carp’s Leaf and then just launch yourself to the puzzle area.
This mechanic is called the Jade Incense Cauldron and can only be fired up using Adeptal Energy. You need to lit up all 4 incenses, not to be confused with the cauldrons.
You need to fire up the cauldron first by pressing T. Once you do, now head to the opposite corner diagonally from you and stand behind the incense. Press T again to call the Adeptal Energy back so it passes through two incenses and lit them up.
Quickly shift to other corner opposite from the other cauldron and then press T again to shoot your Adeptal Energy. This will lit up the other two incenses. You’ve unlocked the Stone Shrine in the southwest!
You only have 1 Adeptal Energy charge–if we don’t do it this way, we won’t be able to keep all of them lit in time. Press T on the shrine to finish investigating this side and grab your chest.
Northeast Stone Shrine
Again, you can ride the Golden Carp’s Leaf. Don’t forget that you can launch yourself out from one leaf, and then press T again once you’re in range to the next leaf.
This one is easy. Just clear the Treasure Hoarders out and you’re good. There are 3 waves of Treasure Hoarders to clear with two minibosses on the last one, but nothing too hard. Interact with the Stone Shrine, grab your chest, and you’re good to go!
