Rune Factory 5 is an extremely interesting game that you feel like you’re at times playing online with various other players. Those can be NPCs but they are so beautifully designed that they make you feel like the real thing. This is how you can level up friendship or boost your relationship level with them and become friends with everyone.
Rune Factory 5 – ALL Ways to Level Up Friendship
These things that are going to be said in the guide will be lined up chronologically from the lowest amount of Friendship that you’ll get to the highest one.
Greeting Spell
The first thing that you’ll want to do is always greet people with the greeting spell. No matter where you are, you are able to do this in a very simple manner that with time will be very useful. All you have to do is get the request – Make Friends.
It is super easy and you can get it super quickly too. Everybody gets these greetings till a certain point so you should get to make friends very quickly. It is super simple to do and sometimes it is often forgotten. Just get every villager to one heart and the request will be complete. You will now have the Greeting Spell.
To equip the Greeting Spell just go to your shortcuts and press X or Y. These are the same buttons that you can use the spells on various villagers throughout the map. If there’s a music note over the villager’s spell, it will mean you have already finished with them. You can get a 1% to 3% Friendship increase(depending on the gift too).
Talking To Villagers Everyday
Pretty self-explanatory. Just go ahead and open those chat boxes with every villager you see. The more you talk to them the more they’ll be friendly to you and increase the Friendship factor. It doesn’t increase it by a whole lot, but it doesn’t cost anything, and with time it will be a significant number. You can talk once a day, but on festival days you can talk twice.
Winning A Prize At A Festival
This can be done only at a Festival of course. But if you do win a prize here your friendship level with everyone is automatically boosted. Of course, everyone wants to hang out with the popular winner of the festival!
Take Villagers On Adventures
For this one, you will get a bonus on the Friendship number for every hour that you are on an adventure with a certain villager. Meaning that you will need to spend quality time with them and make sure they do not get bored while doing various activities together.
Or you would have thought. Just start an adventure, go to sleep, wake up, go to sleep, wake up… The more you do this the more Friendship you have. The easiest and most effective way for raising your Friendship with a villager.
Give Villagers Gifts
While you’re already doing the talking(if you are following this guide) you can take this a step further by giving villagers a gift. Nobody will turn it down, who doesn’t like free stuff?
You can give homemade gifts and eventually they will return the favor and give you a gift on their own after a while. These are the gifts that raise Friendship status:
- Light Gift
- Light Homemade Gift
- Loved Gift
- Loved Homemade Gift
You can just give them Pickle Turnips to save you the trouble. This is super easy to get and it does count as homemade. It will raise your Friendship in a very cheap manner, but effective!
Do The Request Board
This is something that not a lot of people are doing in Rune Factory 5. Well, you will have to make a change and start doing this. Each time you complete a request created by a villager and placed on this board, you’ll get a boost in your Friendship status.
You’ll get things like loot that finishes the quest, and as well also a Friendship boost. It is very good.
Skill Level To Increase
Every villager is different and they prefer different skills. If you have a set of skills that one villagers likes, you’ll start to get closer to them. This can mean that you will need to simply increase some skills in order for villagers to start falling in love with you more. Even if these skills at times are something that you won’t necessarily be using.
Going On Dates
You can go on dates with the bachelors and bachelorettes. This is an event that will boost your Friendship status to a whole new level, if of course it is done successfully. It is an extremely good way to boost your friendship so it is highly recommended.
Some people don’t even know that you can go on a date every day with a random villager! Yes! Every day, you can just go on a date with a villager that you want to get a higher Friendship with, and in no time you’ll be best buddies. Maybe even more?
You can also use Love Potions on villagers to make them love you more. No, this is not considered illegal in Rune Factory 5 so go ahead and do as you please. This is also limited to once a day.
Well, that about sums it up. You keep following these tips, maybe all of them or maybe just stick to one if it is effective, anyhow in no time you’ll be seeing very high Friendship statuses with almost all of the villagers. Have fun!
