It will help you in beating this boss. Keep reading to learn more.
Guide on How To Beat Riven Twins Boss
Once you defeat Warrick The Torn, you will be able to get a quest called Servant of God. Now to complete this quest, you will have to fight the boss named Riven Twins and defeat it. Only problem is, the boss is quite hard to beat.
The boss has a wide range of attacks and some of them are downright annoying. I will go over each of its attacks one by one down below and give tips on how to deal with them.
Boss Attacks + How to Avoid Them
The boss has 7 major attacks which are mentioned below:
Kick & Slam
When you get too close to the boss, it will kick you and then try to slam you with his weapon. Even if you get hit by its kick you can still dodge the weapon slam that comes afterwards. Just remember not to stay too close to the boss for more than a few seconds.
Ground Slams
This is where the boss tries to hit you with its weapon by slamming it down on the ground 3 times. The boss holds the weapon in the air for a brief moment before attacking you. So use that short window to predict his attack and get ready to dodge.
This attack is very fast so you will have to be on your toes. The only way you can avoid this attack is by dodging either towards the right or left and then keep dodging in that direction.
Underground Summon Attack
In this attack, the boss puts his left hand in his chest and then slams it on the ground to summon purple like substance on the ground where you are standing. The key to dealing with this attack is to keep moving in one direction and not stop until the attack is over. Ever after the attack, the purple substance will still be on the ground so avoid stepping on it.
Purple Blast
Similar to the previous attack, the boss puts his left hind in his chest and this time, shoots a purple blast in your direction. The speed of the blast is fast but you should be able to dodge it easily and as it travels in a straight line.
Grab
The boss reaches out with his hand and literally grabs you. It will slam you on the ground a bunch of times and you can not do anything about it. This attack deals a very huge amount of damage and you will have a hard time recovering from it. The range of this attack is a bit long making it kind of unfair.
You can avoid getting grabbed by dodging in the opposite direction as soon as you see the boss reaching out with its hand.
Rotation
This is probably the most annoying attack you will have to deal with during this boss fight. The boss whirls around multiple times (even up to 8 rotations) with its weapon stretched out.
To deal with this, you have to dodge at the right time. But doing that multiple times in a row can be very challenging. So a better way is to dodge away and then maintain your distance until the boss stops rotating as during the rotation it can not move from its place.
Huge AOE Attack
In this attack, the boss hits the ground with the base of its weapon which sends huge shockwaves around him. There are a total of 3 shockwaves that you will need to avoid. This attack has a very huge AOE, covering almost the entire map so you will have to be vary of that.
As soon as you see the boss going for this attack, just get away as far as possible and stay there until the attack is over.
Strategy to Defeat the Boss
It is possible to defeat the boss at about Level 12 but you will have a much easier time if you grind to Level 14 or higher. Before you go into the fight, make sure to take as many Healing Food Items as you can. You will be needing them a lot during the battle.
So, the best way that I believe to deal with the boss is to get close, land 2 or 3 hits and get away. Heal if you got hit. And just keep doing that, slowly chipping away at its health until it is defeated. Do not get greedy and try to land too many attacks at once as you will get punished if you stay too close to the boss.
The more you fight the boss, the more familiar you will get with its attacks and dodge timings. One more tip I can offer is to keep your focus on the boss and its attacks, ignore focusing too much on your character or the map around you. This will help you predict what attack the boss will be doing and act accordingly.
Just keep at it and you should be able to beat Riven Twins after a couple of tries. I hope this guide was of help. If you liked reading this guide then maybe check this out next: How To Get Through the Nameless Pass in No Rest For The Wicked.
