Manor Lords is both an RTS and medieval city builder that lets you take control of a young lord that is building their own dynasty and kingdom. Like most RTS and city builder games, you will start off small. Not looking like a lord just yet, but the road to being one is long and arduous. But as a lord, you have to look after your people, and that means giving them food, water, and a place to live. As time goes on, you will have to upgrade the houses for the villagers to sleep in. In this guide, I will show you how you can upgrade the houses from levels 1 to 3 in Manor Lords.
How To Upgrade Houses
In order to upgrade your houses from level 2 and to level 3, you will have to meet some very specific requirements in the game. This includes having to build other structures within your settlement. That’s why if you have to expand your settlement, make sure to keep everything close to each other or within the settlement for upgrading purposes.
Here are the things you need to upgrade your house from level 1 to level 2:
- 4x Timber (To upgrade the house itself)
- Well (Must be accessible and near the house)
- Church (Requires 5x Timber, 20x Planks, and 10x Stone to build)
- Fuel Stall Supply (Building a Woodcutter’s Lodge automatically builds a stall in the Marketplace)
- Food Stall Supply (You must have at least two types of food that you’re selling in order to get a stall in the Marketplace)
- Clothing Stall Supply (You must have clothes being sold at the Marketplace to get a stall)
Once you have met the requirements, the house you are trying to upgrade (and any other house that is level 1) will be upgradeable to level 2.
For level 3, you will need to have the following in order to get the option to upgrade a level 2 house to level 3:
- 4x Timber, 8x Planks, 4x Rooftiles, 25x Regional Wealth (Required to upgrade the house)
- Well
- Stone Church (An upgrade to the Church. Requires 5x Timber, 10x Planks, 10x Rooftiles, and 20x Stone)
- Fuel Stall Supply
- Food Stall Supply (This time, you must have 3 different kinds of foods to sell on the Marketplace)
- Clothing Stall Supply (You must have shoes, clothes, and cloaks in order to get the upgrade for level 3)
