Welcome to Sorcery, an open-world PVP Roblox game inspired by the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen! In this immersive experience, you’ll explore a world filled with Cursed Techniques, Domains, and battles against Sorcerers and Curses. Whether you’re new to the game or looking to enhance your skills, my beginner’s guide will walk you through everything you need to know—from rolling for your first Cursed Technique to unlocking the powerful Domain Expansions. Unleash your full potential!
Complete Beginner’s Guide
Introduction
After you pick your slot, you’ll be introduced to a menu where you can customize your settings and your character.
- In the first window you can get your Cursed technique and your Innate Domain by rolling.
- You can use Curse Tickets instead of Robux for these rolls!
- The second window displays your Clan—they now provide buffs! For example, I’m rocking the Fushiguro Clan, which gives me +10 Health and +20 Curse Energy.
- Different clans have different buffs, and more are being added soon. Some Clans don’t have full passives yet, but they’ll likely be updated in the future.
- If you want to reroll your Clan, you can use Robux or Curse Tickets, which I’ll explain later on.
And the third window says “Character” and it includes your character design like your Gender, character Name, and the type of Mage you’d want to be. The two mages are: Sorcerer and Curse.
The two are not different by much. The only difference is Curse has more regions and Sorcerers have more Cursed Energy. Once you’ve covered this, you can pick your hair color and skin color in the next screen.
Next, you’re going to spawn into the game. Now, let’s move toward the locations of important NPC’s in the game!
Important NPC’s
When you spawn in, you’ll be at the Soul Hideout. The skill tree is inside a small house—just jump on one of the mattresses in the area to access it. There, you can upgrade things like Cursed Energy, Agility, Vitality, Strength, and more.
Next, you can upgrade your skills by talking to the girl in the area named Voxel—just make sure you have enough skill points and a Cursed Gem (the purple one).
There’s also a Merchant in the area for selling trinkets, a doctor for healing (she can even fix a lost limb), and a banker where you can store your valuables.
Now, if you want to reroll your Clan, Curse Technique, or Domain, head over to Mahito hidden behind a tree in the area where you can buy costumes. You can buy Curse Tickets and use them to roll for any of these. When you talk to him, you can choose to reroll either your Domain, Clan, or Curse Energy color.
Each reroll has a cost, so be prepared!
Missions
Now, for missions: You can join missions in the Mission Board. If you’re playing with friends, create a party from the bottom left and invite them, but they need to be close by, or it won’t work.
During missions, you can also get invaded by Curses. As a sorcerer, a curse can jump into your mission and attack you. Don’t worry, the game will notify you if an invasion happens.
After finishing your first quest, there’s a possibility that you get a Dream. If you die in your dream, you’ll have to wait before retrying. When you’re in a dream, follow the sound to find a cursed altar and unlock your technique. I’ll talk about this more in-detail.
Unlocking Your Cursed Technique
Starting off, to get the cursed technique, your first goal must be to go to complete missions. As mentioned above, you can do this by going to the mission board and interacting with it.
After you do so, you’ll be teleported to a random mission. Your goal is to get to Level 50 and complete this mission whatever it may be. Typically, at the end of missions, you’ll be teleported back to the hideout.
However, there is a small chance for you to be teleported to the mysterious snow area called Dream. You’ll need to complete missions until you are teleported there.
The transition screen will have a ??? mark on it which will let you know that you successfully got it. Normally, it will show the Hideout label on it.
Locate Inner Soul
After the screen, you’ll find yourself dazed in the snow area of Roblox Sorcery. Before you proceed further, there is something important you need to be aware of.
Every 20 seconds, there will be a stun effect that will temporarily daze you preventing you from jumping or stunning. This can be a problem when you are jumping to the ledges in the area, especially in the obby that comes ahead later.
So be aware of this effect and try to jump only when you know the stun effect isn’t near. Also, you will not be able to use any of your moves in the new area.
Your goal here is to find the Inner Soul. This can be anywhere in the area and you can locate it via a ringing sound. The closer you get to it, the louder the ringing will be.
We recommend raising your volume in the settings so that you can listen to it much better.
After that, drop down and start exploring the area. Be aware that Inner Soul can be at the top of buildings, and you will be able to climb them.
In our case, we found the Inner Soul on top of one of the towers. It might be different for you, so just follow the whistling sound.
Once you do locate it, interact with it. After that, select the ‘Embrace your inner soul’ option. Doing so will teleport to you another location.
Complete Obby
The new location you will be teleported to is a long obby. Before you proceed, keep in mind that the annoying stun effect will still be active here.
This effect can also cause you to stop mid air between obstacles, resulting in you falling and dying.
NOTE: For wall climbing, it’s simple: press and hold Space when you’re next to a wall to climb. When you want to jump off, release and press space again. Take it slow to avoid mistakes—falling into the void can be frustrating! As you progress, you’ll encounter tricky jumps and invisible ledges, so watch your step!
At the beginning, the obby is straightforward and involves you jumping between platforms. However, at the end, you’ll come upon a seeming dead end.
Here, you want to get to the top of the left boulder. You can do this by jumping on it and climbing to the top.
The next step is a little bit more obvious. To progress through the obby, you’ll need to climb to the top of the next boulder. However, to do this, you’ll need to jump around the boulder so that you can reach the front.
After that, you will be able to climb to the top.
From there, you can jump to a nearby ledge and continue on the obby. After that, you’ll arrive at a seemingly very dangerous drop. Instead of going through this difficult part, you can actually skip it entirely.
You can do this double jumping in the direction shown, followed by dashing.
Next, you want to drop down the nearby gap and continue ahead. Eventually, you’ll arrive at another dead end and will need to climb up. The ledge you need to get to is shown below.
The obby will be straightforward here too until you arrive at some really narrow platforms. These can be tricky, especially if you do not like to wall run.
So, instead of doing them, double jump towards the left and dash to get directly to the platform.
Continue ahead in the obby until you arrive at the hardest part. This is a complicated obstacle since you cannot use double jump and dash to get to the platforms.
Instead, you will need to rely on wall running. First, you want to jump to the large wall that you can barely make out on the right. While wall running, jump to the platform when it is near.
In this way, you will be able to reach it.
From here, there will be another wall running segment until you finally see the Inner Soul ahead. There will be some simple jumps here and we recommend you do them slowly.
You don’t want to die when you’re so close to the Inner Soul.
When you reach the Inner Soul, interact with it again and now you’ll be able to unlock the Cursed Technique. Additionally, you will be teleported back.
Equip Cursed Technique
Now that you have unlocked the cursed technique in Roblox Sorcery, you will need to also equip it to use it. To do this, you need to return to your base and go to your bed.
Interact with the bed to open up the skills menu. Here, browse through all the skills until you find the cursed technique for your character.
You’ll also be able to see your designated skills and unlock them.
How To Get Domain Expansion
The latest update in Sorcery has changed the acquisition method for Domain Expansions.
Requirements:
- Level 150 (Special Grade): You need to reach the maximum level. It’s pretty straightforward so I won’t talk about this one too much.
- Void Key: Required to access the Void. I’ll explain how to get this further into the guide.
Getting Void Key & Entering Open World
To access the Void, you’ll need a Void Key. You can obtain one by completing missions. It’s random, so just keep doing missions until you get it.
Once you have the Void Key, head to the Open World. I’ll guide you to the location where you need to use it.
In the open world, look for a huge building as shown in the image below. Approach the door, and you’ll need to use your Void Key to open it. Hold down G to interact with the door.
Once inside, find a lever and pull it. This will teleport you to the Void.
The Void (Getting Simple Domain & Domain Expansion)
In the Void, you’ll meet Yuki. She can teach you Simple Domain for 500 silver. It’s useful for countering other Domains, so it might be worth getting.
Now, to unlock Domain Expansion, stand under the nearby door frame and press M to meditate. This process takes about 5 minutes, so be patient.
After meditating, the next step is to die—yes, you heard that right. Just jump off a high spot to take fall damage and die. When you die, you’ll be resurrected, and Domain Expansion will be unlocked. To use it, hit enemies to fill up your Domain bar. Once it’s full, hold E to activate your Domain.
How To Get Black Flash
Main Requirements: First, let’s talk about the main requirements. Fortunately, there aren’t many! You only need to reach level 50 to trigger Black Flash, which is pretty straightforward.
The chance of landing a Black Flash is random, but don’t worry—it’s pretty common!
Awakening Black Flash: To awaken your Black Flash ability, you need to hit enemies using M1 attacks (basic melee attacks). It’s important to note that you cannot unlock Black Flash by using skills or special moves; you must rely solely on M1 attacks. It doesn’t matter if you’re using a sword—Black Flash can be triggered in any scenario as long as you’re hitting with M1s.
Using Black Flash
Now, let’s talk about how to actually use the Black Flash. Once you’ve awakened it, you can trigger it again by using M1 attacks. To execute the Black Flash, press ‘E” and then hit the enemy. Make sure you’re very close to them; otherwise, it won’t work.
When you see the red lightning as shown in the image below, that’s your cue to strike.
Special Black Flash Abilities: Now let’s discuss special Black Flash abilities. For the first one, you need to hit an enemy at least three consecutive times to trigger the seven consecutive Black Flashes. The second special Black Flash ability even plays music from the anime and blasts off your enemy. Note that the normal Black Flash doesn’t have any sound effects.
Become The Strongest Curse or Sorcerer
