TDS: Best Gem & Hardcore Tower Tier List

Only bring the best, never for less.

TDS (or Tower Defense Simulator) is a fun Roblox tower defense game made with original character models. While most popular tower defense games are filled with characters from different popular franchises, TDS prides on having original designs. The game continues to have updates that adds more and more towers/units to give the game more variety to those who like to experiment with their units. In this tier list, we will be showing you the best of the Gem and Hardcore units that can be found in TDS.

Best Gem & Hardcore Tower Tier List

TDS (Tower Defense Simulator) Gem and Hardcore towers tier list.

Before we start, please bear in mind that this tier list is 100% opinionated. This tier list is not meant to be taken as fact. This is based off of what the community of the game thinks about each of these towers in the game.

Without further ado, here are each towers and their tier on this list:

S Tier

  • Engineer – The Engineer is the best DPS tower in the entire game. By herself, the Engineer isn’t able to do a lot of damage. But once she collects enough scraps, she can build a sentry that assists in taking down enemies as they come along. She is a tower that can be usable throughout the entire game as she can be upgraded enough times.

Once you fully upgrade her, the Engineer is able to do even more damage thanks to the 8 sentries she is able to build out of scraps. Thanks to her sentries, she has the highest DPS out of all towers in the entire game.

  • Brawler – This is a brand new tower that was just recently added to the game and it is already blowing the minds of everyone who is playing. It is a melee tower that can do a ton of damage to any enemy that comes near it. Plus, it has an amazing Reposition ability that allows it to move from one spot to another, allowing players to use this tower as much as they want.

But the Brawler is not great because of that. The Brawler can knockback and potentially stun enemies in place, preventing them from progressing past the spawn point. The best part about the Brawler is that you can have a lot of Brawlers placed on one spot in the map.

  • Accelerator – One of the best DPS towers in the entire game. The Accelerator attacks with a plasma gun that shoots out a beam that does a good amount of damage. It sports a great DPS when placed down on the ground, but it can do even bigger damage when fully upgraded.

However, this unit has an issue with not attacking consistently. The plasma gun needs to be charged every time when it coolsdown, making the attack inconsistent. It’s the major reason why it’s not high up on the tier list.

B Tier

  • Necromancer – While a really good tower when fully upgraded, the Necromancer is almost abysmal in the early stages when placed. It has a slow attack speed with low damage that only attacks one enemy at a time. It does have the ability to summon graves that in turn summon Skeletons to fight enemies, but it takes too long to summon them and the Necromancer stops attacking entirely while they are active.

Again, this unit is fantastic when it’s fully upgraded because it can attack 7 enemies at once regardless if hidden or not, but the amount required to fully upgrade it can be used for other towers like those in the S+ tier. If the base level of Necromancer was reworked to be a little more effective, it would not doubt be S+ tier as well.
