Creating Your World
You will get a whole new world created for you at a random depending on what seed you’ll pick. First of all Create World and be ready to be amazed! It can always be different than what you’ll expect making it a very cool and unique experience each time you start the game.
You can play around with the Sea Level, Rainfall, Temperature, Size, Hills, etc. You are kind of a god of how your world will be shaped and look and feel.
Choosing A Tribe
Then you’ll get zoomed inside a random part of the newly created World. You will have an option to choose from a couple of starting locations. You will choose your starting tribe and you’ll need to do it wisely.
Choosing your starting location can be one of the most important things. As of right now, the game doesn’t have boats yet, so don’t pick some of the locations of the islands. Make sure to pick a tribe that is touching the water’s shoreline, because even if you choose something a little far off, you’ll realize that you’ll be very far away from it.
Then once you click it, you’ll see what Sapiens you’ll have to play with. You will get the coolest animation of zooming to the world’s planet and next to your tribe.
Choosing The Perfect Location
Depending on where you’ll start your game is the same as choosing the difficulty of the game. Make sure that you’ll have a water source nearby. You will need a hill to be able to scout around the area for dangers. Forested areas and also crucial for hunting and collecting things.
As you can see in this picture, you’ll have water nearby, with a hill to cover you and offer you protection, while at the same time have a big available flat farm field and trees around you. This is what your starting location should look like!
Follow The Tutorial
This game has one of the best tutorials out there. Make sure to follow its instructions and tips step by step. It is very easy to get distracted from the 10 million things you might be doing in this gorgeous world so make sure you’re gonna stay focused.
It will teach you about building shelters, farming, getting crafting materials, etc. You will also learn about the camera details, the Sapiens, and their needs.

The First Day
Apart from following the Tutorial, as you’ll of course do, you will need to focus on Warmth and Shelter. First of all, make sure to use your godly camera skills and look around the whole area around you for some food.
You might be surprised and actually, find a big pile of food directly next to you too! You can see dead animals that are not yet rotted, so make this your priority.
Sometimes you’ll get it for free, and sometimes you’ll have to work for it. You might get some berries, animals, fish, apple trees, etc.
Storage Areas
First things first, this is a material collecting game. What better way to store your valuable materials than by building Storage Areas?
None. Make sure that this is one of your first buildings. You will be collecting a bunch of things and as a starter, you will want to stack up almost everything you’ll see. One day or another you’ll get to use it anyhow.
Roles
What may be the Tutorial would not emphasize enough are the roles of the Sapiens you’ll be controlling.
Make sure that every Sapien has a role to follow. This can be anything from the most basic thing to the hardest thing ever. They will differ from each other and one will be better than the others in certain jobs. You will have to appoint them accordingly and this way you’ll get the most effective out of them.
