Although the open beta for the global version is almost up, you can still play Throne & Liberty in the Korean servers, so players might be interested in starting over if they liked what they saw in the very recent test. With that in mind, here is a quick tier list of all the weapons you can equip in the game to hopefully help you decide what to use!

Best Weapon Tier List

Before we begin, it should be noted that this tier list is purely based on the general opinions of some within the community and may or may not reflect the meta in future updates.

This also doesn’t take weapon combos into consideration, which is a core mechanic of the game. So, this is not necessarily representative of a weapon’s usefulness as all of them can be great when paired with a particular other option.

Finally, this is mainly geared towards DPS and PVE content, with newer players in mind. Rankings can easily be flipped around for some of these if we were to take PVP and experience into consideration. With all that said, let’s get to it!

S Tier

  • Dagger – Great as both a main weapon and as a secondary choice for combinations, the dagger is one of the better options you can go for if you’re more of a melee enjoyer. It has great passives too.
  • Longbow – This weapon is ranked this high due to its ease of use for newer players. Not only is it a ranged weapon, but it can also ensnare enemies to keep them in place, allowing you to safely pick them off from a distance.

A Tier

  • Greatsword – In PVE, this weapon can do a lot of burst damage against single targets, hitting large and juicy numbers. It has a slight learning curve to it compared to those ranked above, but it is a solid pick overall.
  • Staff –This weapon excels in dealing area of effect damage. It falls off a bit when it comes to single target combat, though, and it takes some getting used to due to the resource management (mana) involved.
  • Crossbows – As a main weapon, the crossbows excel in granting you mobility with Nimble Leap, which also buffs you briefly. Crossbows also have very fast attacks, letting you burst things down quickly.

B Tier

  • Wand and Tome – This is generally used as more of a support weapon, so it’s a no-brainer that it ranks lower than the others. With some damage over time skills and minimal AOE capabilities, it can still be pretty okay.

C Tier

  • Sword and Shield – Finally, the sword and shield are mainly used for tanking in PVE. When used in combination with other weapons, it can be amazing. However, as far as main weapons go, especially outside of PVP, there are much better options.

And that concludes this tier list, which is, again, biased towards DPSing in PVE content and aimed mainly towards people who are just getting into the game for the first time.
