Deadlock is a game that is currently in its playtest stage. As a result, it is not possible to directly get access to the game. With access being so exclusive, there are only two ways for you to play. One way is to get a direct invite from Valve while the other is to be invited by a friend who has access.
So, in this guide, we’ll quickly go over how you can bring your friends over to Deadlock. In this way, you’ll be able to participate in the playtest and get a taste of what the game has to offer. So, let’s dive in!
How to Invite Someone to Playtests
To be able to invite someone to the Deadlock playtest, you first need to go to the main menu of the game. When you’re in the menu, look towards the bottom right corner.
Here, you should be able to see a small banner which has info about inviting friends to the playtest. So, click on the Invite Your Friends option that you see here.
When you do so, this will open another menu. Here, you’ll be able to see all your friends on Steam that you’ve added. Simply hover your cursor over the friend you want to bring to the game and click the Invite option.
If the friend already has access to Deadlock, you’ll get a notification saying that. Otherwise, the invite will be sent successfully.
Keep in mind though it can take a few hours for your friends to actually receive the invite. Once they accept the invite, you can then invite them in the game and start playing!
That’s everything you need to know about inviting someone to the playtests in Deadlock. Since the game is still in such an early phase, it’s possible they may disable this option as the server gets full and the game gets popular. So, be sure to do this as early as possible.
