How to Find Tin Ore

Tin Ore can be found in the Clay Caves biome, which was introduced in patch 0.5.0.1. To reach this habitat, you must first build a bridge from the Dirt biome.

Once in the Clay Caves biome, look for sparkling gray or silver objects lodged in the walls. Then use your Copper Pickaxe to mine the ore. Note that the Clay Caves location is rich in Tin Ore. Therefore extra copper pickaxes are required if you are cultivating this resource.
