In this city-building survival game, you are faced with life-threatening stakes. As a steward of New London, you promise your people survival through the apocalyptic, eternal, and bitter cold. In order to keep yourself and everyone around you warm, you’ll need access to a functioning Generator. 

To help players get through the crucial period, here’s the complete guide on how to turn on the generator in Frostpunk 2. 

How To Turn On The Generator

The process is very simple, you’ll just need to act fast because the town is relying on you to bring them warmth to survive the cold nights. First, you’ll need to build an extract district on top of the coal node.

To access these coal nodes, you’ll need to frost-break that area. So, look for white sections that you can frost break and they will reveal some coal nodes that you can build the generator on top of. 

Additionally, you’ll need to break 8 white sections for that area to be frost-broken. Once you’ve got that nice little spot to extract coal from it’s time to build that extract district. 

The extract district will extract coal and use the fuel to power up your generator. Now, go back to your generator at the main location. 

When you click on the generator, go to the “generator” tab and toggle it on. Your generator will only be toggled on once you have enough of a coal supply to keep it running, so make sure you have a good amount of coal beforehand. Now you can start your generator and raise satisfaction in town!
