Best Desolate Deep Fishing Spots
Now that you know what the Desolate Deep bestiary consists of, it’s time to see the best spots for actually fishing for them. We’ll be looking at two of these.
These spots are primarily for the Legendary and Mythical fish, as the other rarity ones are much easier to get.
Sleeping NPC
The best spot for catching Mythical and Legendary fish by far in the Desolate Deep is in front of the Sleeping NPC. All the rarest fish can be caught here, which includes their mutations.
You can find the Sleeping NPC near the Desolate Pocket, or in the direction of the right cave in the Desolate Deep.
NPC Holding Lantern – Clarence
The next best spot for catching fish in the Desolate Deep is the NPC holding the Lantern, aka Clarence. You can find him at walking distance from the Sleeping NPC, wearing a scuba outfit.
This is the best spot for catching rare fish, although you will not have as much luck here for the Mythical and Legendary fish. But for any rarity lower than that, you’ll find more of those here.
Mutations
Before we wrap up the guide, it’s important to note that there are a bunch of mutated versions of the fish you can also find. Currently, not all of the mutations have been discovered, but there are plenty available for all the fish.
So even if a fish is low rarity, it’s still worth it to fish for it so you collect all the other mutations.
That’s everything you need to know for the desolate deep complete bestiary guide. Now you know all the best spots to catch the fish, especially the rarer difficult fish. We strongly suggest you keep trying, so you can find mutations for the rarer fish too!
There is a new Trident Rod that you can also obtain in the Desolate Deep location. To get your hands on it, check out our where to find the trident rod guide! It’s a really solid rod with some great stats to back up the effort of finding it.
