Star Wars is a franchise that has a lot of lore in it, and I mean A LOT. There is so much lore that their own writers can be quite confused on it and often times retcon or change the lore often, maybe to cover their mistakes or to make the story more concise. Whatever the case may be a lot of people tend to just pick what lore they want is canon in the Star Wars Universe, like when you’re making a new world in Dungeons and Dragons instead of playing a module. If you like the lore of Star Wars the Old Republic then you should get these Balmorra Imperial datacrons in the game!

All Balmorra Imperial Datacrons In The Old Republic

Of course to get the Balmorra Imperial datacrons, you should get to Balmorra first, the planet in Star Wars not the City in Morrowind. It should be noted that this guide is focusing on the Imperial Datacrons in the area. This planet is contested between the Republic and the Empire and thus there’s actually two areas where players can spawn depending on which side, they’re on.

First Datacron

The first Datacron in the list can be quite tricky, because you actually need a friend to get it. Might have been easy in the early days when the game was teeming with players but today it might require a bit of work to find someone. Unless you have a friend already with you of course!

This Datacron is to the southwest of Gorinth Imperial Outpost or South of the Markaran Imperial Outpost so you should head there until you see an entrance jutting out of the mountain pictured below.

Go inside and there should be an elevator, use the elevator and you should get to the second level. There is where you and your friend need to do something. The Datacron is behind a shield, and you need two people to interact with the terminals flanking the shield. Once you’ve done so just head in and get your datacron!

Second Datacron

The next Datacron is to the west, near Markaran Outpost. Further to the west of the should be the Okara Droid Factory, a factory that’s built into a mountain, go there and go inside.

To the west of the Okara Droid Factory is an Elevator that goes down, head over there and wait for the elevator. Don’t be like me and just jump down, I did not have a good time.

When you get to the lower levels you should see a big room where the assembly line is. What you need to do is jump below the assembly line to a small room in the area pictured below. You know you’re in the right place when there’s a friendly Probe Droid nearby.

Go inside the room and you should see some pipes and a drop going down further into the facility. The Datacron is on one of the pipes, so it’s basically a jumping puzzle, but instead of jumping you’ll do some falling. I highly suggest removing your sprint when going for the Datacron so you don’t overshoot your drops. To do so just right click on the sprint icon to remove the buff.

Third Datacron

The next Datacron is quite hidden. To the southeast of the Gorinth Outpost is Outpost Victory and to the right of that outpost is a path that when you go there looks like it is a dead end.

Actually, you can jump on the rocks at the side and continue the path up. You know you’re in the right place when there’s hostile wildlife there.

Past the Wildlife at the end of the path is the Datacron you’re looking for!

Fourth Datacron

The next Datacron is inside the Balmorran Arms Factory, this should be the area where your final class quest in the planet is. The place is fairly linear so go through the area killing or ignoring all the mobs on the way.

At one point you should see an open area where they park shuttles and ships. You need to go to the eastern most part of that area where it meets the water.

The Datacron you’re looking for is under one of the dock-like structures, don’t worry about getting wet the water is just knee deep.

Fifth Datacron

The last Datacron on the list needs you to have some cash, 5000 credits to be exact. You need to get to Bugtown and head to the eastern part of the area across the lake. Don’t worry the lake is only knee deep. Once you get there a scrap trader can be found selling various things, what we need though is the Lost Code Cylinder. Buy that and head back to the Bugtown Outpost.

Next stop is to the north, there should be a broken bridge there and on one of the sides is a container. That’s what we’re using the item we bought.

Open the container by interacting with it and it should use the code automatically. Inside should be the last Datacron.

Congratulations you now know where to find the Datacrons! Now go out there and look get them yourself!
