If you’ve been grinding through Verse Piece and eyeing Cha Hae-In, the new added weapon in the game, you’re probably wondering, is she worth it? How hard is she to unlock? And most importantly, how can you get her as fast as possible? I’ve been down this road myself, and let me tell you, it’s not as easy as it looks. Between farming Light Ores, battling the Fallen Angel Boss, and upgrading her sword, there’s a lot to grind. But after plenty of trial and error (and some great tricks from the community), I’ve found the best way to speed up the process. In this guide, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about unlocking, upgrading, and testing out Cha Hae-In, plus whether she’s actually worth all that effort!

CHA HAE-IN Guide, Showcase & How to Get

If you’re wondering where to find her, the Cha Hae-In NPC is located in Dungeon Cave Island, a new area added in this update.

  • To unlock her, you’ll need:
    • 7,500 Gems
    • 1 Sword of Light Recipe (Cha Hae-In)
    • 5 Light Ore
    • 100 Iron
    • 50 Wood

Sounds simple, but trust me, it’s not something you can just pick up in a few minutes. Luckily, I’ve figured out a few tricks to make this grind a lot faster.

How to Get Light Ores (The Fast Way)

Light Ores are only obtainable through mining, but before you even start mining, you need to defeat 25 mobs inside the Dungeon Cave. But if you go about it the standard way, it’s going to take way too long. But there’s a much faster method.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Leave your private server and rejoin.
  2. Repeat until you find a light yellow crystal.
  3. Mine it to get Light Ore.

This method lets you cycle through servers and drastically cut down on time. I actually picked this up from Ruckls, who makes some great content, so shoutout to him!

I put this trick to the test, and honestly, it works way better than I expected. Of course, there’s still some RNG involved, but if you’re patient, you’ll farm Light Ores way faster than by just mining randomly.

Bonus Tip: If you have the “Mining Master” legendary trait, it doubles ore drops, which makes farming Light Ores way easier. If you’re lucky enough to have it, take advantage of that.

How to Get the Cha Hae-In Sword of Light Recipe

No recipe, no Cha Hae-In, so let’s break this down. You’ll need to farm the Fallen Angel Boss, which spawns every 5 minutes on Dungeon Cave Island. It has a 30% drop chance for the Sword of Light Recipe.

Best Strategy for Farming the Cha Hae-In Recipe:

  • Join a Server
  • Wait 5 minutes
  • Defeat the Fallen Angel Boss
  • Rejoin and repeat until you get the recipe

This method is way more efficient than just waiting around for boss respawns. If you’ve farmed bosses in Verse Piece before, you already know how important it is to maximize efficiency when grinding for drops.

Cha Hae-In Sword Showcase + How To Upgrade

To fully utilize the Cha Hae-In Sword, you’ll need to upgrade it to its max form. Head over to the blacksmith in the updated Blacksmith Isle and proceed with the upgrade process. You’ll need Enhance Stone to get a 1/10 chance (10% of succeeding and 90% of failing) in upgrading the Cha Hae-In Sword.

  • First Move (Z Move): The Z move is a forward attack dealing around 3 million damage. While the visuals are decent, the damage output feels a bit underwhelming compared to higher-tier weapons.
  • Second Move (B Move): The B move is slightly stronger, dealing 4 million damage. It seems to scale better with buffs, making it a solid but not overpowering skill.
  • Z + B Move Combo: Using the Z and B moves in succession results in a combined 7 million damage, which makes for a strong combo sequence. While it’s a good burst of damage, it doesn’t necessarily make the sword overpowered.
  • Third Move (C Move): The C move brings in an electric lightning effect, reminiscent of Solo Leveling aesthetics. It’s one of the more visually impressive abilities of this sword, adding flair to the combat experience.

Cha Hae-In is a solid pick, though I have to admit, Sung Jinwoo still edges her out in overall power. With the Contractor buff, her damage output is pretty respectable: 1M, 4M, 4.7M, 4.3M, and 5.4M.

Unfortunately, the Cha Hae-In Sword does not come with a mode or an F move. This is a significant downside, as most high-tier swords in the game include some kind of transformation or special ability. While the sword offers decent damage and stylish visuals, the lack of a mode limits its effectiveness compared to top-tier weapons. But we’ll see if it gets an upgrade in future updates.

Is Cha Hae-In Worth It?

After testing Cha Hae-In’s sword out, I’ve got to be honest—she’s just not worth it right now. Here’s why:

  • She’s weaker than Sung Jinwoo.
  • She’s harder to obtain.
  • She needs buffs or a new mode to compete with other top-tier characters.

I know some players are hoping for a future balance patch, and if she gets buffed, she could be much better. But as of now, if you’re deciding between Cha Hae-In and Sung Jinwoo, Sung Jinwoo is the better choice, he’s stronger, easier to get, and overall more useful. You can also get the Rowan sword and we have a guide for that one as well!

That said, if you enjoy her playstyle, animations, or just want to collect every character, she’s still a solid addition to your arsenal. Tthere’s always the chance of future buffs. If she gets an upgrade, she might be worth revisiting!
