One of the cleanest unlocks has just been added in Verse Piece, Emiya, aka Archer from Fate/Grand Order. I won’t lie, this guide took some grind and a whole lot of rerolls (thanks, Trace On), but the payoff? Totally worth it. I’ll break down everything you need to unlock Emiya, from where to find the boss, how to get each item, and of course, a full showcase of the sword’s moveset, with damage numbers and tips along the way. So if you’ve been eyeing those dual blades and wondering if the juice is worth the squeeze, stick around.
Emiya/Archer Guide & Showcase
To officially unlock Emiya and grab the sword, here’s what you need:
- 1 Kanshou (dropped by the Emiya boss)
- 1 Bakuya (also dropped by the Emiya boss)
- Trace On exotic ability (0.025% drop chance via Ability Rerolls)
- Hero of Wrought title (defeat Emiya boss 25 times): Once equipped (via the Title Manager NPC), it gives a +20% Sword DMG multiplier—which makes a big difference when using the Emiya sword.
- 10,000 Gems
Once you have everything, go to the Emiya Teacher NPC on Lost Island to purchase the sword and unlock Emiya.
Tip: Equip titles that give gem multipliers, and try to grind raids for a faster gem stack!

Where To Find Emiya Boss (How to Spawn)
You’ll find the Archer boss on Lost Island, specifically on the island where the 5-minute bosses spawn. However, Emiya can also randomly appear across islands, so if you’re hunting manually, server hopping helps a lot.
To manually summon him, head over to Skull Island and use 10 Boss Tickets at the Boss Summoner NPC. Each Boss Ticket can be crafted from 3 Mythical materials via the Ticket Exchanger NPC.

Emiya Moveset Showcase
The Emiya sword has great range, fast execution, and clean effects. While it does have a minor hitbox issue, it’s still one of the best weapons in the game when it comes to versatility and burst damage. Pair it with the Hero of Wrought title and you’re shredding through enemies. The V Move in particular? Chef’s kiss. It’s a beautiful finisher that hits like a truck.
Move | Description | Damage | Cooldown |
---|---|---|---|
M1 | Basic hit | 12,500 | N/A |
Z Move | Jump-spin lunge slash (Line AoE) | 120,500 | 20s |
X Move | Double forward thrust (Line AoE) | 52,300 | 15s |
C Move | Quick burst forward slash | 47,100 | 15s |
V Move | Massive circle blast (crazy visuals) | 340,500 | 30s |
F Move | Currently bugged or possibly passive | Unknown | TBD |
Is the Grind Worth It?
If you’re asking me? Absolutely. It’s a bit of a grind, especially getting Trace On and defeating the boss 25 times, but the payoff is worth it.
You’re walking away with:
- A dual-wield sword with 5 flashy, high-damage moves
- A 20% sword damage buff title
- And, let’s be honest—probably the coolest-looking weapon in Verse Piece
