Arise, fellow Second Piece players! One of the coolest-looking abilities just got into the game. This guide covers the complete information regarding how to get and use the Arise system (and it’s actually pretty neat!). Let’s hop right in!
Want to know more about Second Piece? We have great guides on each race in the game, how to obtain all of the specs, and one for newer players that you should give a read right after this one!
How to Obtain the Arise System in Second Piece
There are mainly two ways to enter the Throne of Shadows raid:
You can personally find a portal that could lead you to the event. Although rare, it has a chance to spawn every five (5) minutes!

Another way is by heading over to the Ruined Gate. Look for the Gatekeeper NPC to give you access.

Upon interaction, you will spend five (5) Throne of Shadow Portal Shards to open a portal to the raid.

Once inside, you will have to defeat a wave of mobs and the final boss, which is Sung Jin Woo. Defeating him will grant you a 2% chance of obtaining the Arise System!

Using the Arise System
This allows you to obtain the Monarch of Shadows Race—this includes the Arise System and access to Mana. Just like in Arise Crossover, you are allowed to use the “Arise” ability on the souls of fallen enemies (except players). If you are successful, you can revive and use these souls as companions known as Shadows. They can help you fight anything that crosses your path!

Take note that you can only have three (3) of these Shadows out in the field in a public server. However, in a private one, you are allowed six (6)!
When spawned, Shadows can be commanded with the following modes:
Modes | Function |
Aggressive | Shadows will attack any mobs or bosses that are near the player. |
Defence | Shadows will focus only on defending the player. |
Stay | Shadows will remain idle and passive. |
Additionally, the Shadows you have arisen will retain the same Specs they had before their death, but will start over again at level 1. As you keep progressing, they can eventually return to their formal selves, as well as keeping the same stats before they were defeated. The highest level they can attain is capped at level 5,000!
It is also important to know that every time you summon a Shadow to the field, the player receives a 10% debuff to their overall damage and maxes out at 50%. Keep this in mind when summoning more than one!
That’s everything you need to know about the uses of the new Arise system and how to get it. Regardless of the grind, I would personally go for it just for its badass design. How do you feel about it? Let me know in the comments below.
