Are you excited for the Sandlord Season in Torchlight Infinite? Or are you just eyeing The Blashphemer Thea? Whatever is hyping you up for the next update, I’ve compiled a list of the best starters to use and look out for this time around!

Best Starter Picks for This Season

The units in this section of the guide are not listed in any strict order and are based on the information listed in Torchlight Infinite’s most recent patch notes. Some of these placements may be subject to change as we move on in the season.

Oracle Thea – The Blasphemer

Oracle Thea - The Blasphemer in Torchlight Infinite

The Blasphemer, the newest one coming with the Sandlord update, is one of the most recommended starter units on this list. Just like with every other recent addition, she will most likely launch with an overtuned kit. This makes her an automatic choice for the top spot. Even the upcoming Legendary Gear (Stray Bird’s Return, Heart of the Storm, etc.) is centered around making this unit’s progression easy and as smooth as possible.

Berseker Rehan – Anger

The best free-to-play option still stands supreme in the recent patch notes. The only change made to Seething Rage Rehan with a minor 30% decrease in movement speed in his Ritual of Offering Trait. His very strong Burst damage manages to ensure his place as one of the best. In other words, you can never go wrong with this big guy.

Frostfire Gemma – Flame of Pleasure

Flame of Pleasure receives a good increase in base damage on her Hammer of Ash skill (which was already good in previous patches). While Fire is not the most meta choice right now, this unit is an excellent option as one of the starters for Sandlord season.

Frostfire Gemma – Frostbitten Heart

Nothing much to say about this unit other than it is still very good while transitioning to the next season, similar to her Flame of Pleasure.

Spacetime Witness Youga – Spacetime Elapse

Spacetime Elapse also receives significant DoT buffs on certain skills, like the Spacetime Speed-up. Although this change centers mostly on helping Youga move Twisted Spacetime around more often. Overall, a really great option right now!

The Forsaken Iris – Growing Breeze

The Forsaken Iris - Growing Breeze in Torchlight Infinite

Growing Breeze Iris is now able to use Amazing Friends much more effectively. She can use two (2) spirits that can also use their ultimate abilities (making her damage even better). Another amazing change that was added was the increase in damage growth of Minion Skills. Instead of the previous 8%, players can now enjoy the jump to 12%.

Honorable Mentions

While the other four in this section did not make the final cut, these are still arguably solid starter picks regardless of the minor nerfs they have received this season.

  • Spacetime Witness Youga – Spacetime Illusion
  • Divineshot Carino – Lethal Flash
  • The Forsaken Iris – Vigilant Breeze
  • Frostfire Gemma – Ice-Fire Fusion

Do you agree with our choices? With the Sandlord Season still in its early phase, over time, we can expect a few changes that can shift this list. Other units (the ones not mentioned in this guide) can still make their way to the top eventually. Until we get there, I hope my guide helps you choose which starters in Torchlite Infinite you want to use in the recent update. Be sure to give our guides a read below!
