10 Things to Know Before Playing
If you’re not experienced with the game, you might want to get a grip on the basic systems and mechanics that Crystal of Atlan has to offer. We will not be going over this in this guide, but rather tips to give you an edge.

#1 – Change Your Keybinds Immediately
When you load up Crystal of Atlan, you will find that some of the controls are a bit uncomfortable or awkward. Quite a few other players have had the same issue. In this case, we recommend that you go to the options and start changing your keybinds immediately.
We recommend doing it as soon as possible so that you you’ll have an easier time learning them from the start. Otherwise, things can start getting confusing later on due to muscle memory.
It may seem like a small issue but having your abilities in a more comfortable spot can really be the decider when you are in intense fights. One good keybind we recommend is changing the skip button from P to ~ (below Esc key).
This will allow you to skip much easily and go through the game efficiently.

#2 – Focus On Main and Side Quests
Crystal of Atlan offers a variety of content with different types of dungeons, quests and raids. When you start the game, we recommend that you only focus on the main quests – regardless of how invested you are in the story.
The reason for this is because you will be unlocking most of the game features through these quests. They will also give you the most XP, enabling you to level up fast.
Completing main quests will also give you access to side quests, enabling you to unlock further content in the game. By focusing on the main quests, you should be able to unlock everything by Day 8 from the global launch.

#3 – Consume All Energy On Main Account
Crystal of Atlan also features an energy system that limits the number of times you can do dungeons and gain XP from them. This can prevent you from grinding endlessly and getting to max level right away.
Since there is a limited amount of energy, we recommend that you spend all of it on your main character. You can then use the rest on your alt accounts but only after.
This is because you get better loot rewards when you use the green energy, which is for the account you are logged into. So, early game, it is crucial you get the best loot possible to progress through the game.
Keep in mind that energy in the game replenishes at 6am every day in the morning of the server time. There is no timer, it simply resets at a fixed time. So, try to use your energy efficiently by that time.

#4 – Don’t Craft Early Game Equipment
All the early game equipment the game tries to make you craft at the start is really bad. This is because you’ll be replacing all of it soon every single time you level up.
On top of that, you will have Dungeons at various levels that will drop you equipment that is almost always better than the early game equipment. So, the only thing you need to craft is the mandatory gear the game makes you craft at the start.
After that, your next goal when it comes to crafting is Level 50 and Level 55 Void Gear needed for later dungeons.
So, we recommend that you do not bother with the crafting system at the start. Additionally, you also do not need to enhance anything either. The game will already give you plenty of +7 and better weapons every time you level up or hit milestones.
You will also get items that will allow you to enhance directly. For example, certain tickets allow you to enhance Level 25 equipment to +12. So, in that case, you can use them. But tickets related to Level 60 should be saved as you’ll need them later on.
Enhancement itself is also quite expensive and only really suitable later on when you progress.

#5 – Save Your Gold
Gold is the most important resource by a mile in Crystal of Altan. It is the main resource that you will be using for crafting and enhancing in the late game. Things will get very expensive later on – so saving every bit of gold will help immensely.
Make sure you do not end up spending in randomly in the early game.
Another great use of gold is that you can use it to purchase the premium currency in the game. You can use this premium currency for gacha and costumes that would not be possible to get with gold.
Keep in mind that costumes can give you stat bonuses and improved DPS alongside cosmetic improvements.

#6 – Create Alt Accounts Immediately
Be sure to make your alt accounts immediately once you set up your main account. This will allow you to start doing main quests on your alt accounts once you’ve used up energy on your main ones.
Alt characters in Crystal of Altan are crucial because they provide your whole roster of characters with extra stats as you level them up – including your main account.
As soon as you create your alt account, start with their main quest. The reason for this is that main quests are time gated. By starting on your main quests on alt accounts early, you’ll save yourself from waiting for the timer later on.
Even if you do not feel like completing the main quests, make sure to start them on alt accounts just to have the timer ticking. It will allow you to progress and get stat bonuses much faster.

#7 – Funnel Resources To Main Account
The main benefit of having alt accounts is that you can funnel resources to your main character. This includes gold which, as we discussed before, is the most important resource in the game.
On top of that, you can also transfer other resources like enhancement materials and tickets for entering dungeons. This will allow you to boost your main character by a lot.
Just keep in mind that certain items are character bound and cannot be transferred.

#8 – Alt Characters Cannot Be Deleted
As far as we are aware, as seen from game tests so far, there is no way to delete alt characters in the game. Of course, things might change later on, but for now it is not possible.
This is important to keep in mind because you might consider making alt accounts to test characters and delete them if you don’t like them. But this is not possible, so make sure you actually pick classes that you want to play.
There is a limit of having 4-5 alt accounts per character in the game. So, be mindful of that and choose your alt account classes carefully.

#9 – Choose Characters You Enjoy Using
The ultimate purpose of playing the game is to have fun. So you should try to choose characters that are fun to play and suit your play style – as opposed to going with the meta and popular choices.
This is because all classes are viable provided you are willing to put in the effort. If you enjoy playing a character, you will be better inclined to farm for them and improve them accordingly!

#10 – Arena Is Unlimited (But With A Catch!)
Arenas in Crystal of Atlan are unlimited and you can enjoy them as much as you want. However, the tokens that you get from arenas are limited.
So, if you’re someone who enjoys arena, you can enter as much as you want. In fact, you can even go all the way up to Diamond on the first day if you want. But if you’re in it for the tokens, then focusing on arena is not efficient.

That’s everything you need to know before playing Crystal of Atlan. Knowing these tips will give you a great advantage over other new players who will be booting up the game when the global release is out. Be sure to use these and you’ll be able to progress rapidly and make your character powerful!
