Elden Ring Nightreign just got released, and it features a very unique take on the typical FromSoft game formula. It takes the universe of Elden Ring and slaps on a cooperative roguelike experience on top of it. Although many are critical of how different it is from the usual soulslike game, there are some who have welcomed this spinoff with open arms.
If you do enjoy the game or want to try it out, this tier list will help you decide which class is right for you by placing them into different tiers!
Elden Ring Nightreign – Best Class Tier List
Before we get started, do take note that this tier list is based purely on the opinions of the community and is entirely subjective. If your favorite is ranked at a lower tier than you would want, do not take any offense as it does not necessarily mean that it is bad.
The game is still in its infancy, and unless you have tested out all eight of the current classes extensively, which most normal people have not, then it is hard to tell which is the “best” and “worst” under ideal conditions.
Now, with all of that in mind, let us go over the current tier lists based on what the general populace thinks:

S Tier
- Ironeye – This class is currently considered to be the most overpowered one in the game if you factor in how easy it is to play and how strong its abilities are. It is wild that FromSoft has figured out a way to make the bow a top tier combat style, so enjoy it while you can.
- Raider – Raiders can be pretty tanky and are the pinnacle of “unga bunga” mechanics, so those who love swinging large and cumbersome weapons around will love this class. It is probably the frontline class of choice for most, at least when you have finally moved on from something like the guardian.
A Tier
- Recluse – This witch can be pretty strong, but she does have a particularly high skill ceiling just like the duchess. Even with its high skill ceiling, though, it is a fun class to play as and can mop the floor with enemies once the player is more familiar with her unique mechanics. Her main downside is that she is way too squishy.
- Executor – This character can be pretty hard to learn at first, but those who can take full advantage of its ability to deflect attacks will have so much fun with it. The executor somewhat falls in value when in a team because of how it kind of requires you to have aggro to use it to its full potential. If playing solo, the executor can be absolutely cracked, as long as you are good.
- Revenant – The revenant is a summoner who relies a lot on her minions, which provide a ton of utility for both herself and the rest of the team. Unfortunately, as a summoner, she is also incredibly squishy. As long as she can avoid taking too much damage, she can provide a ton of support for the team.
B Tier
- Duchess – It has a very high skill ceiling, so her rating actually varies. If the player is particularly good with this class, she can easily be at S tier, though that applies to anything really. She can be a blast to play, but it is going to be pretty hard for the average player.
- Wylder – This class is very balanced and perfect for new players, especially with its sixth sense passive ability. Outside of that, though, it is outclassed by most of the other classes in terms of its damage output and utility. You may want to move on from this character once you get a few runs in.
- Guardian – The guardian can be pretty good, but mostly for newbies who are playing with other fellow new players. This is because its kits is mainly geared towards tanking and protecting their allies. If you have a bunch of experienced players with you, his value immediately drops, because damage becomes king in such parties.

And those are all of the classes and how most people rank them in the game. More might be added in future updates or DLCs, but we have no news about that so far, so these eight are all we have at the moment.
