If you’re chasing meta builds in Aether Adventure, you’ve probably heard of Rimuru, also known as Slime in-game. This moveset isn’t just cool, it’s currently one of the strongest in the game, only slightly edged out by the newly released CID Atomic when combined with a strong Race and Aura. If you want Rimuru for yourself, you’re in the right place. In this guide, I’ll show you all the ways to get the Rimuru moveset, including how I personally got mine, and we’ll wrap it up with a showcase so you can see why it’s the most popular moveset in the game.
How to Get Rimuru & Showcase
Rimuru (Slime) is a high-mobility, high-damage moveset that’s excellent for both PvE clearing and PvP dueling. It blends flashy AoE attacks with rapid combos, allowing you to control the battlefield and overwhelm opponents.
What sets it apart is how well it scales with race buffs and aura boosts. Whether you’re farming dungeons or clapping in arenas, Rimuru is a top-tier pick right now, and very beginner-friendly too.
Here’s how to get your hands on it:

Every Way to Get Rimuru Slime (All Methods)
There are five reliable ways to unlock Rimuru, each with its own pros and cons. Let’s break them down:
Buy from the Moveset Merchant (Fastest Method)
Got 80,000 Gold? Rimuru can be yours in seconds.
- Head to the Moveset Dealer NPC in Village of the Beginning (next to the first quest NPC).
- If Slime is in stock, buy it for 80k Gold and you’re done!
Tip: If it’s out of stock, just server hop until you find one that has it. I’ve had the best luck checking during off-peak hours in low-pop servers.

2. Gacha Roll Method (Luck-Based)
Feeling lucky (or just desperate)? Try your hand at the Moveset Gacha.
- Go to the Moveset Gacha NPC in Slayer Village.
- Roll for a chance at Rimuru. The drop rate is currently unknown, but it’s definitely on the rarer side.
Some players claim they pulled it in under 10 rolls… while others burned through hundreds. That’s Gacha life for you.
Tip: Roll during events or pity bonuses when available to make your chances a little better.

3. Dungeon Chest Drop (2% Chance)
A grindy, but very doable method, and honestly how I got mine!
- Unlock the Dungeon System (requires Level 100+).
- Survive 25 waves, defeat 5 bosses, and clear the run.
- After it ends, wait a few seconds, rejoin the server, and check your inventory for the reward chest.
You’ll have about a 2% chance to get Rimuru from the Moveset Chest. I actually got mine on my ninth run, so it’s definitely worth trying!

4. Boss Chest Drop (Low Chance)
Already farming bosses for gear or XP? You might get lucky here too.
- World bosses like Freiren, CID, and others have a small chance to drop Moveset Chests.
- These chests can include Rimuru (same 2% drop chance as the Moveset chest from the Dungeon).
It’s slower since spawns take time and drops aren’t guaranteed, but it’s a nice passive method if you’re grinding them anyway.
5. Trading with Other Players
Got something valuable to offer? Trade your way to Rimuru.
- Visit the Trading Hub or connect through Discord servers.
- Rimuru is usually in high demand but is cheaper than CID Atomic.
- Just make sure to check market value and trade safely.
Don’t fall for scams, always use trusted methods or verified traders!

Rimuru Showcase (Slime) – What It Looks Like In Action
Rimuru might not be as mobile or fast-paced as CID Atomic, but it makes up for it with raw power and flashy skills. It focuses more on single-target damage and massive AoE nukes, making it a top-tier pick for boss clearing and wave farming.
If you like sitting back and dropping devastating abilities that wipe out groups or chunk bosses in seconds, Rimuru’s your go-to. It’s smooth to use, beginner-friendly, and incredibly satisfying once you start rotating cooldowns efficiently.
Here’s what you can expect from the Rimuru moveset:
- Powerful AoE skills that melt enemies in waves
- Strong single-target burst for boss damage
- Good combo potential, even without a weapon
- Scales extremely well with Aura and Race synergy
- Easy to pick up, rewarding to master
Whether you’re farming mobs or locking down bosses, Rimuru holds its own and feels great doing it.
Stat Scaling & M1 Damage Notes
- 640 Moveset stat is a great target for solid damage output.
- Rimuru doesn’t use weapons, so M1 damage is slightly lower compared to sword/staff kits.
- Its strength lies in skill chains and cooldown management, not raw M1 spam.
Movesets with weapons (like Elf Staff) tend to have stronger M1s, making them better for combo extensions.
Elf Staff vs Rimuru – Combo Potential Breakdown
Elf Staff is currently cracked in PvP, especially in 1v1s. Here’s an example combo that can hitless-kill Rimuru with sub-600 Moveset stat:
Air M1 → Z → Air M1 → X → C → V → Air M1 → Z → Air M1
Rimuru, on the other hand, shines more in PvE, wave clearing, and team fights thanks to its AoE damage and forgiving skill cooldowns.

Best Rimuru Builds (Lategame Setup)
If you’re aiming for meta dominance, here’s the recommended loadout:
Limitless + Ascetic Blaze + Demon Fang/Holy Blade
With Slime or Elf Race & Aura
Why it works:
- Limitless gives you Lapse Blue + Hollow Purple for insane burst.
- Ascetic Blaze adds M1 + skill combo potential.
- Just doing: M1 → Z → M1 → X → C → M1 will destroy most bosses before they react.
Want a flexible version? Try: Slime Race + Slime Aura + Holy Slayer + Ascetic Blaze, strong DPS with potential healing utility depending on your focus.

Wrap-Up
And that’s every method to get Rimuru (Slime) in Aether Adventure! Whether you roll the dice on Gacha, grind dungeon waves, check shop stock, or make a smart trade, Rimuru is absolutely worth chasing. It’s beginner-friendly, powerful in both PvE and PvP, and only gets better the deeper into the game you go.
