Sometimes quests give you a certain item that you need to keep in your inventory. Some games make it so that these items cannot be dropped, we all know Meridia’s Beacon from Skyrim and how it’s an annoying item to find. Some developers can be quite evil though and add weight to their quest item, making it so it clutters your inventory even more until you finish the quest. While other games, like old point-and-click adventure games, had quest items you can easily lose and soft lock yourself. Games have come a long way since then, and in this Canned Knowledge quest guide, we’ll show you how to use one of these items in Genshin Impact.
Open Your Inventory And Use The Canned Knowledge In Genshin Impact
There are a lot of quests in Genshin Impact that give you an item to interact with, sometimes they’re on the world like a book or a statue, while other quests place it in your inventory for you to interact. The quest in this article is the latter.
Sometime in the quest “Ever So Close” you’ll be given an item that you’ll need to interact for the quest. The item is called “Canned Knowledge,” and actually has an amusing description of it being the 8th one in a series. Don’t worry, you won’t need the other ones for the quest this is just a joke the game makes.
To use this item, you’ll need to navigate to your inventory and go to the quest tab. The quest tab is the icon that has the bookmark and exclamation point icon. Once there look for the Canned Knowledge item and select it. Then at the lower right, press the use button.
Doing so will continue the quest and give you a short cutscene.
