So, to do “collections” with critters you’ll need to approach them and give them food. And, give them their favorite food to have a better result.
Different animals react differently to the player and the crocodile will run away the moment they notice the player. What you should do is keep following them until they get tired and drop to the ground. Once they’re down on the ground you can interact with them and give them their favorite food, which are Lobsters.
