When you have an entire village on the back of a large creature that roams around the planet, meeting new people might be hard to do. In fact, you might be the only ones that are alive right now. But that’s not actually true. There are people that are not on your Onbu that are still surviving in the wilderness. You can meet them as you progress down the road with your Onbu, but how can you get them? Can they even join your village on your Onbu? This guide on how to increase population will help you answer that question.
How To Increase Population – The Wandering Village
To increase population, you will first need to build your Scavenger Hut. Not only does it allow villagers to go out and find rare resources, but they also find new villagers as well. It’s recommended to have at least 2 Scavenger Huts, maybe even more.
You can also check your map to see if there are settlements near the Onbu. Sometimes, you can even see people walking down the path, or towards the path. You can pick them up if you have control of your Onbu and make it wait while the settlement decides whether to join or not.
It’s important to have some control of your Onbu, as picking up villagers is not its primary concern, so it won’t really care to stop and pick them up. If your Onbu is asleep and you are near a settlement or find people nearby, always take the opportunity to get them.
