The best location to find Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2 will be on the Rainbow Island. You will be able to find the SIlky Sand also in other areas but outside of the starter areas. In the starter areas, you won’t be able to find it.

The best location where it spawns the most is basically along the beach. Rainbow island does provide a lot of beach locations so you will want to head for them.

You can actually spot them from far away as they are sort of a leak that goes up in the air. It is a very different color than the background or the beach and they look like this:
