The MSA-005 Methuss is another Mobile Armor that made its debut in Mobile Suit: Zeta Gundam. Methuss is the first transformable Mobile Suit that was produced by Anaheim Electronics for the AEUG. It was developed alongside the Zeta Gundam and is piloted by Fa Yuiry. In Gundam Evolution, you get to pilot this Mobile Armor and fight against other Mobile Suits. While it’s not anywhere near as iconic as the Zeta Gundam, the Methuss still has a lot to offer that makes this Mobile Suit a great addition. Follow this guide if you want to learn the basics of Methuss.
Methuss Guide – Gundam Evolution
Methuss is a mid-range Mobile Suit, with 800 HP and a dash limit of two. It is also one of the many Mobile Suits that can transform into a Mobile Armor. While the low HP might be an issue to some, its agility and healing abilities make this unit a great support unit.
Methuss’ main weapon is its dual Arm Beam Guns. The range on these guns aren’t great for long range (duh), but its effectiveness can be seen when firing at a mid-range.
Even more so if close range. The Arm Beam Guns can rapidly fire on a single enemy without losing accuracy, meaning that your crosshair won’t get bigger or sway to the side with every shot.
While Methuss can deal some damage up close, it can also heal allied Mobile Suits. With the Repair Cable sub weapon, you shoot out cables that will latch on to the targeted allied unit. This will allow Methuss to repair, or even revive, allied units.
However, you need to have a line of sight to your ally. Otherwise, you won’t be repairing anything.
Moving onto the many skills of Methuss, the first being its Transform ability. Activating this ability will let Methuss fly into the air and attack enemy units. In this form, your Repair Cable won’t be broken if you lose sight of your ally, so keep that in mind.
For its offensive skills, Methuss has the Twin Shot, which charges up both Arm Beam Guns to deal massive damage to a single enemy, and AoE damage to any unit that is near the blast radius.
Methuss can also place an automated Gun Turret on the ground, allowing for more support during a fight.
Last is the G Maneuver, which is called Energy Cable. Activate this when you are facing an ally and said ally will become boosted with power. With this buff active, your ally will do a lot more damage, all the while taking less damage than usual. This also repairs the targeted ally, instantly giving them a full bar of health.
Methuss is the best support Mobile Suit right now, and with its incredible rate of fire and damage, it can also be a force to be reckoned with.
One thing people need to remember is that it only has 800 HP, so it’s a bit of a glass cannon situation with this unit.
