The new Genshin Impact update is here and it’s big as always! The sandy deserts of Sumeru is up next and it’s got all of the stuff you’d want for a desert ruin adventure. There’s plenty of monsters to defeat in the new area as well as many puzzles to solve and hazards to avoid. The Sumeru Desert is home to large ruins blasted by sand for years and below these ruins are old treasures just waiting for you to get. In this guide we’ll show you how to do one of the puzzles in the new area.
Dune of Carouses Dendro Rock Totem Puzzle Guide For Genshin Impact
In the new area of the Sumer Desert there you can find the Dune of Carouses and to the southeast of the dunes is an Oasis where there’s plenty of enemies about.
This Oasis has a small island in the middle where you can summon Dendrogranas and around the oasis are mounds of dirt where you can hit with the Dendrogranas to remove them.
There’s 3 of these rock mounds in total, and after removing the rocks you’ll see totems underneath them. These totems are locked and guarded by the hostile NPCs and you’ll need to defeat them to get unlock the totems.
After defeating the enemies, go back to the center to summon the little green Dendrogranas and hit the totems to activate them. There’s also one totem in the middle of the island next to where you summon the Dendrogranas so don’t forget about that one too.
Hitting all the totems will then unlock the chest on top of the middle island of the Oasis. Now all you need to do is claim it!
