Terraria 1.4.4 is out and is better than what we ever had expected. It offers very new things that players are loving so far. Even the developers have added a couple of new Critters. In this guide, we will be showing you what they are, and how to find them. Let’s get started.

How To Find Every New Critter – Terraria 1.4.4

There are in total of 4 new critters that were recently added in the new Terraria 1.4.4. They are all very interesting creatures that add a lot of immersion to the game but nothing bit when it comes to a game breaker change. These are all of them.

Cockatiels

You can find both gray and yellow cockatiels in the Jungle biome, just like you can find toucans there. Also, they have very little health and can’t defend themselves, so you have to use a bug net to catch them.

As with the Toucan, you can use them as decorations by putting your captured Cockatiel in a Terrarium to make a Cockatiel Cage.

Toucan

The Toucan is the second creature. It is a bird that can spawn on the surface, especially in the Jungle biome. It has very low health and no defense, so you’ll need a bug net to catch it. Due to its low health, this bird is easy to kill if you aren’t careful.

You can put it in a Toucan Cage, which is a combination of a cage and a terrarium, and use it as a decoration. But remember that the Toucan won’t be able to get out of the cage anymore after that.

Macaws

The third and final species is the macaw, which lays its eggs in the same nesting site as the preceding two birds. They also have the same statistics and may be used as décor inside the Macaw Cage, which they can be put inside of.

There are two variations of it. The blue and the violet. You can catch them very easily if you are using a Calming Potion. This also will work for all of the other bird critters that is mentioned in the guide above.

Stinkbug

The Stinkbug is a small creature that can fly and can be found in the Forest biome. It’s easy to catch with a bug net, and a 10% Bait Power lets you use it as bait. Besides that, you can combine it with a Platinum Broadsword at a Honey pool to make a Flymeal sword.

You can use them for making Stinkbug Blockers as well. They are very useful because it will make the friendly NPCs unable to move inside a house. We all know that sometimes this can be very annoying, so actually, the devs added a way to stop this! How nice of them.

That’s everything you need to know about the new critters. We hope that this guide has helped you out in finding them all. Good luck!
